Booker looks good as well. Quick shot and just a good stroke. He'll be a well needed shooter.

Archie and Len were pissed it seems. James just didn't share the ball tonight. Len slammed the ball on the floor in frustration it seemed. Archie wanted to be more a part of the game it seemed.

But finally we have a group of youngsters that we can develop and keep as our core for the feature.

James is more of a scoring guard than a true PG. Goodwin & Len are going to make the roster whereas this may have been James last chance to secure a roster spot so I can see why he played like a one man team out there. May not have endeared himself to his teammates but when your fighting for a roster spot, teammates don't make the decision.

We have enough of those already. Obvious lack of team play is an easy way to turn a coach's head the other way.

Mike James has hops as well all know. He has no court vision. There were moments where he could have hit someone for the open shot. He controlled the game in a negative way tonight. Sometimes he just puts his head down and gets too deep into the paint where he can't make a pass due to him being surrounded by trees.

So basically a less experienced Eric Bledsoe.

Goodwin fits that mold somewhat too. BUT Giodwin is taller than Bled and James. Goodwin can actually finish and/or draw fouls. All three are very athletic, it's just that Goodwin has some length in him to help him finish near the rim.

James has good handles too versus the other back up gaurds. Not once did I think "this guy can't dribble".

In regard to Mike James, I always consider he is trying to make an NBA roster. This was his chance. I'm thinking he could play better PG if he was not fighting for a position. If the Suns cannot find anyone better out there, I would not be opposed to the Suns keeping him on some partially guaranteed contract or minimum type deal. IMO, the Suns need a better big man than Harrelson.

I'm beginning to think that Mike James is not a wise choice, even though I liked the way he played. I haven't watched the final game yet but it sounds like he tried to take over the game and came up short. In the Pels game he took if over in the 4th Q and was a success. The question I have whether his ambition would ignite another year of internecine warfare similar to what IT did last year. True, he doesn't have the status or contract that Isaiah had but it will probably be a delicate balance with just Bledsoe and Knight.

Ronnie Price's main recommendation is that he's used to being a little used backup and doesn't try to score. With luck, he'll keep his TOs down, which he did last year with the Lakers. If they feel they need to add another PG, Mickey McConnell might be a better choice.

I'd like them to give Harrellson a trial in training camp. He is a passable rebounder and he sets solid picks. He shot well from 3 pt range in SL and if this team is going have any success it will be because they keep the floor well spread. Jeff's offense is designed around the pick and pop/roll so its good to have several options.

McConnel isn't nba material at all. He slow, short and can't shoot. I didn't see anything that says he's an nba pg.

Harrelson complains so much for every single foul against him. Plus the defense attacks directly at him as soon as he enters the game.

I'm not sure his shooting makes up for his other deficiencies but wouldn't be surprising if Suns brought him to training camp.

What I am surprised about is the Suns have not made any announcements regarding the non-guaranteed players on their summer league roster or any other potential invitees to training camp. As I recall some of these type announcements are usually made after summer league ends. It makes me think the Suns are still looking for camp invitees or trades.

IMO, the 14th and 15th type players should have upside. I don't think Harrelson fits although I believe he had back problems.

I won't be disappointed if the Suns don't bring anyone from our sl team other than the NBA players to training camp.

I was not high on the FAs forming our summer league roster although I would not have blown a gasket if the Suns signed Mike James to some kind of partially guaranteed contract.

Maybe the Suns are waiting to do a trade or sign one of the leftover FAs like Kevin Seraphin.

Here is a list of free agents.

So how is it that the last team listed for Kendall Marshall and John Salmons is Phoenix?
