Memphis and Orlando starting now. I'm watching Issac the player Suns should have taken instead of Josh Jackson.

Your crazy. Both guys are raw but your talking about two different levels of talent here.

Jackson has shown some legit real flashes while Issac has really shown nothing and his ceiling is pretty much a defensive stopper

Eww, really? Jackson looks potentially dynamic, Isaac looks like a poor mans Chriss... yeah, I said it.

There's a good chance Isaac's never becomes Brandon Ingram let alone Devin Durant. Right now he's super raw and makes Ingram look like Durant.

I'm not buying this but it's worth passing along. Gambo says the Suns don't plan on keeping Reed and only pushed back his guaranteed date to showcase him for other teams in the Summer League. I can't see the Suns thinking that way right now. I know there's not a lot of room but he'd be our 3rd string SG right now on a very cheap salary. Yes, it is a roster spot but that's not that big of a deal if he can contribute when called upon.

I think most figured Reed would get a shot with us this summer, at the least, and so far he seems to be seizing that opportunity. Booker and Dudley have both spoken highly of his Summer League performances on twitter also, which probably wouldn't be happening if there wasn't a chance of him making the team.

I'd buy out Dudley and bring him on as an assistant before cutting Reed. He has been impressive thus far.

If this was the case, I think the situation has changed with Reed's success in summer league.

Man I think that’s Gambo talking outta his posterior. They drafted him 34th last year, they need 3 point shooting and defense (his calling cards), he got injured last year and hardly played, and now that he’s healthy and showing his skills they’re going to cut him? If that’s true it’s just stupid. If it’s just Gambo’s theory he’s stupid.

Gambo mentioned getting film on him but Reed played 4 years in college, there's plenty of film on him. It just doesn't add up. He was a high 2nd round pick and he missed most of last season because of surgery, he wasn't riding the pine. I think this is one of those times that Gambo reveals he isn't more than a casual fan with some sources.

I don't think he understands basketball as well as he tries to spin it. He knows other sports better, I think. I know his NFL coverage is good and I've never heard complaints about his hockey or baseball stuff either but when it comes to the NBA it seems like he's either stuck in 90's mindset or just not as avid of a fan as he presents himself.

NBA teams usually fill out the end of their bench with guys like Reed. They have a chance at becoming something instead of older veterans that are only used sparingly. Young guys are cheaper and if they end up being something then that's huge for a team. The Warriors found that with Draymond Green. Everybody is looking to copy that, in a way, and you can't do that with tapped out veterans.

I think Gambo’s biggest problem is that he relies too much on his sources and I think he has more national sources than he does local sources. I doubt he is getting the Reed info from anyone in the Suns organization. It is probably someone looking at the Suns situation from afar.

Kevin Knox for the Knicks has looked pretty good. I hope the Knicks got something special there and put together a good team in 2019 with him and Porzingis returning and perhaps Frank Ntilikina and Trey Burke forming a good backcourt together.

Knicks fans deserve a good team and I badly want the East to at least become competent soon.

This is probably the coolest summer league clip I’ve ever seen

Gambo gets paid very handsomely (well north of six figures) by Arizona Sports Radio to give out his dumbfounded opinions and “inside information”. Even his takes on the Cardinals are generally cringeworthy.

His thick Boston accent makes it hard to even understand what he’s saying half the time.

It sucks because I actually like Doug, Burns and even Wolf is tolerable but just way too difficult with Gambo.

His accent is 100% New York.

I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, they sound nearly the same to me.

I suspect the difference in accents would stand out to someone from New York City and someone from Boston but for most of the rest of us, they are very similar. They both play games with the letter "r", including adding and subtracting the letter depending on what follows or precedes it (a practice that occurred in England too). The rest of the U.S. drifted the other way. For us, it's mostly see an "r", say an "r".

I'm not a Knicks fan but I think Knox was a solid addition.

In regard to Ntilikina, I'm hoping Okobo will be the better player.

I'm still waiting to hear the results of Jackson undergoing concussion testing. I thought we would hear something by now.

Sunsfan88, personally, I could care less about the Knicks or the East. Just as i don't like LA, San Antonio, Cleveland, Houston or any of the other teams not named the Suns.

Gimpy is telling it like it is. :wink2:
