NBA.Com has Celtics versus 76ers right now.

Fultz has 16 on 11 shot attempts but only 1 assist and 4 turn overs.

Tatum has 13 on 13 shots but 3 assists and 1 turn over. Also has 5 steals and 4 fouls.

Jaylen Brown is clearly the experienced NBA guy here with 29 points and 10 rebounds.

Tatum dominates down the stretch going deep 2 iso and gets the game winner.

Jaylen Brown is like Booker last year and shouldn't be allowed to play.
Why should he not be allowed to play? I can understand that he shouldn't have to play, but if he wants to play I don't see the issue.

Looking at whom he played against, he should have dominated. That summer league team for Philly looks awful.

I thought it was interesting that the 76ers lost by 1, and Fultz was a -13 for the game. Kid needs to start winning something!

He was playing awesome and they were winning and he just had a really bad 4th quarter. It was like he and Tatum flipped

He was a -10 in the first half, even when he was playing well. Probably just a fluke, but interesting given his reputation.

The only part of that game that I saw was the 4th quarter where he played terribly but what was interesting to me was something I pointed out before. he spins as much as anybody I've seen recently. D Wade did it too in his prime but more in transition, Fultz does it in heavy traffic. It does at times work he's remarkable good at it his footwork from all those drills clearly is terrific but I've always been leery of guys that spin that much.

Generally speaking players spin because they can't get by their man so they start one way and then spin back, you use the defenders momentum against him, the problem is every level you move up it's less effective.

In the 4th quarter he had that banked long 2, accidental bank, and then 2 straight times he turned it over because the defense was sitting on him spinning. I think the first one I think it was Tatum that ripped him and if you noticed, Fultz sort of lagged back and then went for the chasedown block at the end and Tatum wound up dunking. The other one was the help defender just sat on the spin and took the ball and that led to foul shots.

I read a story on him today where the author loves him but in describing his game he said he spins and darts around looking like he's on the edge of falling over constantly. I think that's an exaggeration but I do wonder if he'll be effective doing that in the NBA or if he'll cut down on how often he spins? The author of that story loves him, said he's already proven he deserved to be the top pick.

They didn't play him today they said they're resting him for the Vegas summer league.

Tatum really struggled shooting today. Looked like he was struggling playing against some good sized defenders of Utah. Was settling for a quite a few turn around fade-aways out of the post. He did pull down another 12 rebounds though.

Half-joking here, but it is interesting that they sit him and then get their first win.

Really excited to see the Suns today, more than before because apparently both Bender and Chriss have bulked up. I posted in the Marqueese Chriss thread about it already but thought I'd add it here also. Chriss is up to 250 pounds and Bender is up to 240. Chriss as a rookie was listed at 230 and Bender was listed at 225. Hopefully Chriss will be able to keep position a little better and his weight gain helps him rebound, we'll see. I'm excited to see Bender play Point Forward even though I expected him to take Len's role at backup Center this year. I heard a lot about Josh Jackson being a "point forward" but having multiple players with the ability to run the offense isn't a bad thing.

It's hard to believe Chriss is up to 250 pounds. I believe Bender has the frame to carry more than 240 pounds. If they can play at this weight I expect they should be more effective. I too am excited.

Forget free agency, here comes the Suns!

Heading for my annual trip to Vegas Summer League today! Planning to see the first three Suns games.

Here's what I'll be looking for:

Mike James - Show he can run an offense and create for others.

Davon Reed - Flash playmaking skills, shooting, and defense at a high enough level to contribute this year.

DJJ - Display improved shooting.

Josh Jackson - Show the superstar spark.

Marquese Chriss - Don't get injured.

Dragan Bender - Confidence.

Christian Wood, Anyone Else - Force spectators to take notice.

The Kings game should be a great barometer, as they have Fox, Hield, Justin Jackson, Labissiere, Giles, PapaG and more. Should be a great time, even if I will be surrounded by Lakers fans!

Yeah summer league is meaningless but it was somewhat funny that happened.

I think he'll be a good player but I do wonder how much of his game is going to translate as well as some project it will, you just don't see too many guys who spin that much and it's because in the NBA spinning tends to result in turnovers and breakaway dunks. There are guys, Kyrie is one, who get away with it, but if they think he's a PG they also have to want him to do that less because when you spin, you're not seeing the whole court. I think he'll ultimately wind up at 2 not the 1.
