The last season of ASU baseball at Packard Stadium begins today. May it be a good one!

The 2014 Sun Devils should be better than the 2013 version and it starts with their pitching. Burr, Kellogg and Burr make up one of the best weekend rotations in the nation. The lineup will be filled with a mix of good, veteran hitters and young, impressive ones. There should be extra motivation for the last year at Packard and the Sun Devils are good enough to host one final Regional there. Anything less than a Super Regional will be a disappointment and a trip to the College World Series isn't out of the question.

Went to the first game. Good times, unfortunate loss but good crowd. That kid Burr is going to be a high draft pick in a few years. He's raw but has damn good stuff. He seems to get emotional sometimes and his mechanics start to go and he gets a little wild. He also has a very soft body. As he grows into his frame, takes the weights more seriously and improves the mental side of the game, he's going to be a gem, mark my words. Reminds me a lot of Gerrit Cole.

Taking a jouney back in time, but talk about wild, Skip Hancock must have the title. However, he was a good pitcher for the Sun Devils. I miss not living near the valley anymore where I can take in a game.
