Len looks like a completely different player this year

Yeah, it's the glasses. Fools me every time. Oh wait, that's Clark Kent. But you're right, it's almost impossible to believe that's the same ugly duckling from last season. At this rate of improvement, in 4 or 5 years he should be the greatest center of all time. I can hardly wait.;)

Haha if he becomes the greatest center of all time this team should have a few championships by the time he retires. Seriously though I'm impressed by how competent he's looked this year. Nuggets are staying in this game so far with 3's

I am too. I was holding out hope that he'd become a good player and he is still a ways from being that but I never expected this much improvement this quickly.

PlumDog looks lost or isn't trying. His pick n roll defense is bad. He lets the opposing big men settle in down low with no resistance. Has he been like this all season?

Isn't it safe to say that Plum's potential is marginal? I am not going to say it is his own doing. It is what it is.

Len has officially passed him by in potential. The next hit will be when Len is promoted to the starting job at Center.

And then it will be time to move Plumlee. Getting a new backup Center on the way up or a journeyman will be much better than a demoted starter.

Did we miss IT? The offense seemed to run smoother with either Dragic or bledsoe dominating the ball. Looked more like last years squad out there. Only regression is on PlumDog and it impacts the game tons.

I did get tired of the Morri passing on open shots, dribbling and then taking a contested shot. We could do without Marcus and Tolliver on this team. Completely expendable. We could use a foward who plays inside with hunger and a bit of 10-15ft jumper.

Very nice win. Green was tremendous tonight. Not just his scoring but his passing as well!
Bledsoe took a beating tonight and we will need Thomas to get healthy in order to give Bledsoe, Dragic as well, meaningful rest...

I agree. I like IT but he and Green are redundant as gunners off the bench

That goes back to the danger of brothers on a team. You can't reduce the role of the lesser brother without offending the better brother, who is doing a pretty solid job, hampered only by the way he plays.

Speaking of Kieff, 6'10-245 is a solid build for a Power Forward (if those figures are true). Compared to other Power Forwards, though, Kieff plays light.

Stats might not show it but it's probably Plumlee's best game of the season. Defended well (love that block on Faried) and while he still dropped a couple passes on offense, he had a couple nice tip outs and lucky finishes at the rim.

Dragic plays well when it's just him and Bledsoe again with no 3rd PG bull s**t. Even Bledsoe plays extremely well.

I'm not at all surprised. Just like last season when both those guys played together.

I hope IT takes his time healing the ankle. He's of no use without being at full health.

The Bledsoe haters are quiet after this one.

Dude, there are no "Bledsoe haters" here. Stop with the damn demagoguery! Not one of us hates Bledsoe. We simply believe he and Dragic are NOT an ideal match as neither one of them is really a PG or a SG.

EDIT:
Side note- it's time for Len to start over Plumlee.

This was the first Suns game I have been to in awhile. Green was an absolute beast. Couldn't miss. Bledsoe was solid. Dragic snuck in 20 PTs. Big men did well. Defense was ok, but had good timed blocks and forced TO's. We were sitting behind the south basket and both Greens dunks were on our side. Both times, we could see the play developing, especially the ally oop. The place eruptted. This is a pretty solid team when they play the way they did last night. The western conference is tough, but I think we are definitely contenders. Suns are fun to watch for sure!

While I'm with you, you have to admit though, Dragic-Bledsoe sure looked a lot better when there wasn't a 3rd undersized guard getting in the mix as well.

As for Len starting, that should have happened weeks ago.

I think of IT as a shorter Jason Terry. Not a bad weapon to have on hand.

The problem has been that 2/5 of the starters have had a slow start to the season. Glad to see that they are getting it together. Green has been great as a gunner off the bench.

I wasn't happy with coach putting Plumlee on mosgov. Len should have been in while he was in. Plumlee would have matched up better against Hickson.

But he is not a weapon to have on hand. He is as likely to get the minutes at Point Guard as Dragic or Bledsoe, which leaves two options. Bench either Dragic or Bledsoe for long stretches. Or play 3 Point Guards together.

Neither is a good NBA plan. The concept of having the three of them compete against each other for one position -- the floor general -- does not fit a team sport such as basketball.

Signing Thomas when the Suns didn't know if Bledsoe would re-sign seemed like insurance at the time. Now that he has, it has become more of a problem than a luxury. And, yes, some of us anticipated it as soon as Bledsoe wasn't wanted by any other team.

At this time, the money and roster space of a third lead Point Guard would be better served at a position other than Guard.

Small sample size to determine minute trends.

I have hard time getting upset that we have three guards that deserve minutes. It is a long season and already one has missed a game.
I would like to see them add some size but there has to be someone available that makes sense. I suspect it will be next summer before that happens.
