No, they called that play to make sure the clock ran all the way down with NO chance of Cleveland getting the ball back. It was 4th down so they couldn’t have kneeled.

The way they described it on the radio it was either safety or that play. I’m sure he didn’t mean to throw the interception, but if it was safety or int for TD with 1:20 (or whatever) left the latter is the smart play as the safety means you just have them points to win AND the ball. At least with the int for TD you get the ball back. And what happened? They scored to tie the game.

Watching the Saints-Bucs and Bucs clearly hit QB in head and the clearly hit him really late - both drew flags. And the announcers are falling all over themselves questioning the calls.
