Eh, last nights game wasn't that bad. Injury wise it was a nightmare but the team looked like a 8-8 team, and thats if things go well. Strike 1 with Cooper hurt.

I agree with those side comments Rugby :D

I don't think there's anyway BA keeps only 4wrs & 4TEs considering that 2 of them really suck!!! IMO use more 3-4 WRs to negate the talent at TE.

Yeah--if it's an 8-8 team it'll be like the way that 2011 team was an 8-8 unit. A bunch of ugly, ugly losses combined with a handful of just remarkably lucky breaks.

That San Diego team is going to think itself fortunate to finish 6-10. They ran us out of our own building. Did they trade for Adrian Peterson while I wasn't paying attention?

K9-according to most before last nights disaster, how they played or even the score meant nothing in what we would see this season once the real bullets started flying. IMO this D is in major trouble!

Well, Bowles has a history of getting talented defenses to produce far below the level of their ability.

I'm a founding member of the Bowles Skepticism Society (BSS), but I was burned after piling on Horton early, as well (although it was mostly the fact of his hiring, IIRC). I'm willing to give him some time.

I predict some irregular Bowels movements throughout the season.

But I'd be grateful for some Bowels obstruction in the trenches.

Oh,

The reason there are only 4 WR is because I don't know/not sure/don't have guess at who the 5th is.

At least not last night.

Yep, that's what I was thinking.

Not to be a jerk, but anyone who thought different since the end of March is just after fools gold.

While there was roster turnover, the talent "increase" is subjective, meaning how on earth do you evaluate a roster that is almost completely turned over.

Yet, like most things I come across these days, the turnover didn't attack the weakest of the weak links on the roster, it instead changed a lot that was already working, like on defense. There is more turnover on defense then the offense, which after looking at last year, makes you wonder why that is.

The Cardinals improved at QB, and that is a HUGE thing in the NFL.

But they are still very weak on the offensive line, they still have big question marks at running back, they have regressed at the tight end position (Rob Houlser ain't getting any better, and will continue to drop key passes, and miss key blocks), and have no pass rush.

I won't even go into the Adrian Wilson debacle, and the situation at safety.

Going to be a long "interesting" season, but if Arians doesn't watch it, it may be a waste. At some point you have except your fate, and invest in the future. Not sure Arians is buying into that, and that has me worried.

No way in hell Curtis Taylor & Fleming make it over Bethel and his special teams prowess. BA pretty much already mentioned Bethel as a lock.

Agreed.

My excuse is that was off the top of my head.....I knew something didn't look right. :D

Which ask the question Taylor or Flemming. Believe it or not, at this point I would keep Flemming.

You must be a big Morehouse College or Grambling State fan because other than those 2 colleges and the last 1/2 season in Philly, Bowles has never been a coordinator. Even as a postion coach, you can't put a defense's performance on him if he wasn't the one calling the shots.

I agree, a wait and see approach is needed.

Rugby, was omitting Bethel an oversight on your part, or do you think that he won't make the team? Personally, I expect him to be a starter by next year. I do agree that Carter has been beaten out by Talley. And I don't feel that Talyor (S) will make the team, with Amaya or Jefferson being the fourth safety. Watford, especially with Cooper out, is a lock, because I wouldn't think the team would want to admit that it came up empty (about the OL) in the Draft. Is Potter on the Bubble? He struggled more than Levi did, imo, against SD and he wasn't facing Freeney.

The mistakes always ruin the game.

How hard is it to get these players to think? And dropping passes that hit them in their hands? No excuse.

These are pro's and other teams receivers are making the catches.

These things are the difference between good teams and bad teams.

I'd keep Jefferson over both of them!

Oversight.

The list was off the top of my head, so there are some missing pieces.

David Carter is on the bubble, and my not make the roster, IMO

Curtis Taylor played a lot of minutes for this team this offseason, if he doesn't make the roster then Amaya, or Flemming will. Tony Jefferson is not going to make the final 53.

Earl Watford is no lock for a roster spot, he didn't play a snap last game that I saw (and I didn't see much because my desktop computer is old and slow and I had to watch the game in a small screen with 8-bit graphics, everyone looked like tecmo bowl players). Jonathan Cooper going down may actually work against Watford. I believe College and Fanaika will start, and either Chilo Richal, or Senio Kelemete will be the backup guard. Also, don't count Mike Gibson out as the backup center. College WAS the backup center but if College goes to center who plays guard ? Things were much clearer on the offensive line before Cooper got hurt.

Nate Potter is making the final 53. What happens if Levi Brown gets hurt ? We all learned the hard way, that you can do worse than Nate Potter.

Should have more tonight if I get a chance.

Was he not the interim coordinator for the Philly Eagles last year? When the defense steeply fell off a cliff once he took the reins?
