I finally ordered direct tv a couple weeks ago, with free Sunday ticket. I'm looking forward to it.

You do have to call to get the better price (At least I had too).

199.00 for Sunday ticket
209.00 for max package and Sunday Ticket.

so 10.00 more for the max package.

They billed me the normal price so I called and they gave me the discount price.

Used the DirecTV mover service and got free Sunday Ticket this year and a new upgraded HD/DVR, not that anything was wrong with my old HD DVR.

Just found this:

http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/nflstonline/overview

You can get online access to all games for $250. You are required to attest that you cannot get DirectTV at your home. Not sure if there is any verification process. The price is absurd. I would think you could stream from your tablet/phone/computer to TV. Just hate to fork over $250!

that's actually pretty interesting because I tried to do just that a few weeks ago maybe a month ago with their max package. I got to the part of ordering it online and it kept demanding I choose a tv package which made no sense since I can't get Directv. I finally had to call and was told you can't get it without paying for a tv package. "But I can't get the tv I have no line of sight", you can watch it on your computer sir. "But I already have cable because I have no line of sight you can't seriously expect me to pay for a tv package I won't use?'

Seems I'm not alone in asking.

now I have to decide if $250 is worth it. Just under $16 a game.

It does seem high but having a reliable feed every sunday instead of frantically searching for one online that can get yanked at any second is tempting.

Of course you subtract out the games I can already see, 49ers a couple more and it's more like 20 bucks a game.

Go to a local bar and watch the game on their feed 12 weeks a year and you probably come out ahead as long as you're not drinking cocktails.

I much prefer watching a game at home on tv though. You have to remember I live in the Bay area, generally speaking bars are full of 49ers or Raiders fans.

I guess I have a decision to make. Glad they got smart about adding this, just wish it was a bit lower. I looked I think I can get 3 games this year easily because of 49ers or national TV, so I'd need this for 13 games.

Tempting.

Maybe. I'm not gonna tell you how to live your life. :D I'm sure there's a non-sports corner bar or little dive that isn't going to be as crazy as Buffalo Wild Wings on a Sunday that'll still get The Ticket.

When I was in Davis there was a BIG bar right off the college that was filled with sports fans of pretty much all 32 teams. Didn't get the sound unless you checked out a little box, but most of the time I didn't want it, anyway.

With NFL Rewind, is it easy to access without seeing scores? Anyone that's had this service, I'd appreciate knowing this in advance. I hate having games ruined.

I have some bar a couple of blocks away that has all the games but I discovered last year it's a biker hangout (-:

I managed to see every game last year, several on the internet feeds but they're so unreliable I'd be happy to pay to get a reliable feed. Wish it was lower but I'm probably going to do it for this year.

All the games from prior seasons can be easily accessed without seeing the final score. All that you see is the game with opposing teams listed and "final" underneath. Then you go directly to the start of the game.

I don't think that the current season games would be any different. I know they didn't have the scores for just completed games last year.

The only drawback is that you have to wait until the Sunday Night game is over to watch the replays. There is a small window sometimes between the end of the last 4:25 game and the start of the Sunday Night game but not always.

I can just see you now. Hollering and throwing things at the TV for a game that is already over. I know I've done it with a recorded game. LOL

I just called on Wednesday and got it for free this year - cost me a 1 year commitment, but well worth it

Let them know I was unhappy with the cost, broke down the savings I could get elsewhere and that I finally decided to deal with redzone for $20 and nfl rewind for $40 as opposed to sunday ticket for $300

Also let them know that I wasn't particularly happy that I live in AZ and can't watch the ASU football game - not to mention the viacom situation this summer

Now I have a hybrid of both packages - I don't have the mobile service (although they said they could work something out with me if I needed it), but I do have redzone and some of the other perks

Lady was very nice - she started to tell me about a couple options as she was pulling me account up and then simply stated, I can give it to you for free this year ......... sold

Got the same deal. Thanks.

Well I ordered it for the computer. I had been thinking for awhile when my DSL contract is up I'm switching to Comcast internet and dropping my home phone(44 bucks a month) so I figure with that savings I can afford DTV Sunday Ticket for the computer.

Thanks for the original post on this Austin Zonie I would have never known they added it.

Oh, but that sucks! I want to be able to watch games Sunday evening and have an 8pm class--impossible to watch it after the Sunday night game. Grrr.

FYI.... I just got Sunday Ticket Max for 4 payments of $36.99. $147.99 total.

Pretty good deal if you ask me! All I did was ask.

I got ST Max for free... kinda, cost me an extra contract year.
Oh well, had them since 1994, not going anywhere.

Sick of the song and dance every year though.

Does anyone know if I have to call them to get my service lowered to the $200 package? I don't really care about Red Zone. I just watch another game or the mix channel when the Cards aren't on.

I called and they lowered mine (Max) from $300 to $225. I told them I didn't want max and they lowered it to $200 and then they saw I was a customer for 13 years and they lowered it to $180.

NICE!

We just signed up since we are sick of Cox. They are installing on Sunday. Doesn't really matter for me since I am a Cards fan, but it is nice to be able to watch whatever other games you want without leaving the house.

Today, all I did was to call DirecTV to cancel a service call and the customer service rep checked out my account and, without my asking, secured my OK to change my subscription package to add channels while simultaneously reducing my monthly cost by $7 or 8 bucks. I'm happy with DirecTV. My only mild gripe is that line-of-sight issues prevent me from getting HD and its various recording bells & whistles.

The new Madden game coming out costs $99. BUT it includes this season's Sunday ticket for computers, tablets, and phones. You don't even need Direct tv for it. You can go to the game description at Amazon to read the details. Just thought someone might like to know this tidbit.

I've threatened Cox with cancellation a few times, and they have never done anything to keep me. Now I will cancel for certain on Sunday.

Call and threaten to cancel because they don't have PAC 12 network and they'll give you ticket for free

spoken as someone who goes and watches the games in bars...it's physically impossible to sit in public and watch this team and not be driven to drink.
