If MIA ever would entartain the idea of trading Butler for Beal, the question is not whether the Suns are willing to include their 2031 unprotected 1st - since that is a must, IMO - but the question is if are they willing to include Dunn and/or Ighodaro as well.
I about threw up until I remembered we can't actually do that.

You're safe on that. Since we are over the second apron, we can't trade multliple players.

So, keep the vomit bag close? I know Oso and Dunn are far from being impact players but they're about the only reason I can even think about watching this team play most nights.
Gambo said the Suns wouldn't include a 2031 draft pick on the Beal/Butler trade. Maybe on a Nurkic trade. I think just gut feeling, they see how the rest of the conference is getting bigger, taller and younger. Maybe it's finally dawned on them they need to keep that pick. Who knows?

That is, unfortunately, what I’m saying.

I like those two kids a lot also. I think they could both be regular rotation players with upside moving forward.

how about Butler + another player or picks for Booker and Beal? We get rid of both oversized salaries. We'd probably have the same shot at this year's playoffs and a better future.

Yes, but we can do this in separate trades.

For example

Butler, Burks to PHO
Richardson, 2nd rounder from the Suns to DET

Beal, Dunn, 2031 1st to MIA works under the cap

because from Suns' point of view Butler for Beal, 2031 1st is deal #1
Dunn, 2nd for Burks is deal #2

I agree but I might even see the Suns including also Dunn and/or Ighodaro if MIA is adamant, since Butler offers both upgrade on the court and financial relief as well.

"Multiple efforts"

I would be pleased with at least one. Too often the paint is wide open, or guys don't run back. We give up way too easy baskets, a lot of it due to little or low effort, so yeah... talking is easy, just ask Dominayton.

If they trade Dunn or Oso I will try to cancel my league pass subscription. For Pete's sake. Trade whoever you can ***except*** the rookies and first round picks.
