Just like that, a new owner and James Jones destroys a young team with a bright future.

Now it's painful to even watch the Suns.

Not only that, they burned it down and salted the earth.

I thought that was pretty obvious. James Jones had been working the deal for months and then Mat Ishbia took over and BOOM, the deal was done and we gave away everything.

This is not new information. It's why I got so pissed that Matt butted in and gave away the farm needlessly.

I think this is the only reason JJ has not been fired, because Isbia knows he F'd up. He will never openly admit the failure it has been so far though.

Yeah, James Jones knows where all the bodies are buried.

No, he hasn't been but I think it's due to Devin's nightlife, not KD's presence. Not that I really know anything, just making wild guesses from a distance.

I understand the assumption but I'm curious if Booker has been featured in tabloids as a guy who is always out on the town?

The only reports I've ever seen of him outside of the basketball world is when he's around the Kardashian. Even when he's with her it is usually at more of a vacation destination than partying.

James Jones almost has the Suns figured out except for a few glitches. It kind of reminds me of the song below.

However, it cost the Suns way more than a dime.

this team looked like they wanted to be there last night - it was likely just a one-off but is there any type of performance that could win the crowd back? what is it - like a 10% chance to make the play-in? would that be enough? with the tough schedule? would it take an actual playoff series win on top of the play-in? or is there nothing this team could do?

Even if we make the play-in, and win, we don't stand a change against the top 2 seeds in a 7 game series. That would require us to win 5 of 8 games.

i still don't think we'll make the play-in - they'd have to stay focused and that's just something this team doesn't do consistently in costly situations

Does anyone think the Suns were teasing us with their good effort in the los against the Grizzlies?

I must assume so. That this was not the beginning of a desperate turn at the eleventh hour. Because from what I can tell, their good effort was only on offense. They still played sloppy on defense. They were rather like a Mike D'Antoni-coached Suns team.

I don't even think about the play-in and/or the playoffs anymore.

It seems to me, ownership and the front office have accepted their fate in the worst possible way.

They didn't make a significant trade to improve the team at the trade deadline, nor clean house while their assets had the most value.

If anything, the Suns priority seemed to be, dump future salary.

Do you think Booker is the same guy since the KD acquisition?
If KD's attitude could rub off on him this much, then he's beyond mentally weak to begin with. You didn't see Steph, Klay or Draymond adopt a KD attitude when he came to their team. Why? Because those dudes were all mentally tough... not some wannabe tough guy/front runner, like I believe Book to be... but that facade all but ended after talking trash to Luka only for Luka to bend him over and butt-frack him on national TV in the most humiliating home playoff loss to end a season ever... then back that up with another humiliating home playoff loss to end the next season... and then a putrid performance in last season's pathetic sweep.

Steph, Draymond, and Klay weren't 25 when KD was added. They also didn't have their best friends on the team moved for KD. Booker lost Mikal and Cam for KD and within 3 months lost CP3, Payne, and everyone else. He learned firsthand that basketball was a business. Harsh lesson to learn and one he needed to come to grips with. It definitely was not the same as KD joining a championship team in Golden State and would only be similar if the Warriors had to trade Klay, Iggy, and Barnes for Durant.
