I bet the last game of the season against the Kings ends up being a "play in for the play in" game.

how do you figure? if KD is out for the rest of the year, with the schedule we're facing, I'd be shocked to see us win more than 1 or 2 games.

On the radio they said he would miss the next 3 games. Having said that? We are not getting in.

what are we asking for here

bud gone
jj gone
beal book kd gone gone gone

what are we asking for them

draft picks and expiring contracts so we can get under both aprons - then the new gm tries to land a star or two (plus others) in free agency

do i have this right, asfn?

I agree, the way it plays out, with their lead over us, they just have to match our win total to hold onto the tenth spot. Heck they could lose one more game than us and do it. Their schedule is way easier than ours. Plus they have played one less game than us. They could close us out with a mini win streak here. We have to have them basically only win 1-2 games assuming we dump these next three without KD. Honestly more like they would have to lose them all. Plus they play us once more and have the chance to win the tie breaker against us, while putting a loss on us that would basically count like a two game swing with giving them the tie breaker. I like their odds way better than ours.

The Suns "Do Not Control Their Destiny" for 8-10 seed. The Magic number for Sacramento and the tenth seed is 7. They go on a 4 game win streak and we drop the next three, and we are out!

Technically we could get as high as eighth with a total collapse of teams above us, and I am assuming a near perfect win streak by us. LOL!

Many here would agree with you but I'm not sure about Bud. I see no value in keeping him unless we're going with our young players and G League castoffs but I don't see much value in getting rid of him either. We're going nowhere with or without him so why pay 3 Head Coaches big money to be a horrible team. Not that it's my money, I just hope that Ishbia's wallet can help us rebuild our draft stockpile - wasting it elsewhere might make him re-think his willingness to spend when spending can finally help us.

at this very moment there is some jonah hill moneyball type brilliant mind wishing he could assemble a team from scratch (or pretty close to it) - someone who sees our predicament as an opportunity with the new money rules in the nba

I wonder if Mat Ishbia would still do those things "100 out of 100 times."

The Suns best chance to win a game are the last two games of the season when they play the Spurs at home and finish the season at the Kings.

I bet the Kings and Mavericks are sweating it since they own their draft picks.

why is the suns symbol on the main page in grey scale? all the other team logos are in color - is it a reflection of this team's post mortem state? of the impending death rattle that started 3 years ago? will it stay that way until we have a future/rebirth? cuz im cool with all of that

The Suns have two more losses than the Kings and Mavericks.

Phoenix owns the tiebreaker with the Mavericks should they tie, while the Kings lead the Suns 2-1 this season with one game remaining in Sacramento.

The League office must be pulling out their hair knowing that a tanking team is likely to make the postseason because we can lose better on accident than they can on purpose.

i think it's gonna be ant and kd
I really hope it’s the Spurs and for picks starting in 2027 or later once KD is done. Why? The blood clot issue could wipe out Wemby’s career and that could make those picks gold, especially if we were smart and able to deal Book to Houston to get a couple of our own picks back.

Timber wolves being #1 is hilarious. It may not be in order of any kind but for KD to bail to go to the team he can't beat again to end his career proves time is a flat circle.
