Joel Embiid is looking like a franchise center if he can stay healthy. He is super talented. Indeed Bledsoe had a good first half with 20 points and 4 assists.

I wouldn't mind seeing Derrick Jones get some minutes tonight.

Well hopefully this loss helps suns in the lottery.

But still sad to see the suns lose to 76ers sigh man I miss the Nash and barkly years....

Hope suns turn it around soon

Great to see Big Sauce, Ulis and Bender on the floor in the first half.

Hopefully we'll bounce back and play harder in the next game. We are not very potent without Warren and a banged up Booker.

Hope we get an absolute stud in the draft.

Liked the lineup with Ulis, Bledsoe, Booker, Chriss and Len. Keep it going, Earl. Ulis is amazing. Him and Barbosa can fill in just fine for Knight. Chriss and Bender should get PJs minutes.

Len, Chandler
Chriss, Dudley
Warren, Bender
Booker, Barbosa
Bledsoe, Ulis

Sit or ship PJ and Knight.

76ers will definitely be in the playoffs before the Suns. Imagine if they get Fultz or Ball to go with Simmons/Embiid.

I think we're closer than they are. Embiid is obvious a HUGE hit for them, but you need more than one stud to get into the playoffs and the rest of that roster is hot garbage. The Suns youth are more in quantity and more spread out in quality. We've got solid young prospects at every position, I'm pretty bullish on where we'll be in another 2 years, especially with one more high pick in this year's stacked draft.

I just hope they stay patient. My biggest fear is that they can McD and replace him with some "old school" GM who's goal is to make the playoffs right away.

I think the Lakers will surpass both the 76ers and Suns which is just crazy considering how bleak their team looked with Byron Scott. Most people thought they would get star FAs in free agency because of the LA attraction but they didn't, they ended up having to overpay players like Deng and Mozgov just to come play for them and yet they still look so much more poised for the future with Walton.

I do hope the Suns can use this season to gain experience for their young future stars. But I have to chuckle at the reference to "right away". Making their first playoff in 5, 6 or 7 years would hardly be right away.

It reminds me of the comedian who was called an overnight success and he said, "Yeah, it took me 20 years to become an overnight success." I hope the Suns don't take 20 years. :)

BC... do I really need to point out the flawed logic here? It's not the same "comedian" if a new GM takes over and blows up the roster because he and ownership are not patient enough for the youth to develop. The biggest reason we haven't made the playoffs in 6 years is for that exact reason, we had a long run of terrible scouting, player development and trades with a "win now" mentality.

The fear I have - completely founded at this stage - is we continue to rebuild in the mould of McD and the subsequent culture he imparts on the club; we've been doing it a while and we've gone from 17-11, our first 28 games with McD at the helm when Bledsoe went down, to the 4-11 trash we see in front of us, our trades have been largely miss, team chemistry is non-existent / toxic etc etc.

I'm not sure if you mean you don't want a new GM period or just not an 'old school' GM but either way, I think it's pretty clear for me that McD is taking us nowhere. I just want a 'good' GM as I'm fairly sure McD isn't one.

It should be mentioned that we were treading water with aging stars so a reboot was unavoidable. Our future looks better now than five years ago, but I share some of the concerns with regards to coaching and player development.

Sarver should stay out of it and he should have hired an experienced coach who knows how to deal with young teams.

I'm not expecting playoffs this year but we should be good enough to compete with sub .500 teams while playing our future/rookies.

Maybe we were treading water those years ago, maybe there was something more there, a tweak here, a tweak there and we build on a 48-34 with a different, better GM. I think it's fair to say that it would be pretty hard to do worse than what McD has done; W-L record aside, he's also lead a procession of players to bad mouth the organisation which takes real (in)ability.

This does not bode well for the future and the product I see in front of me hardly gives me any comfort things are going to change in a hurry.
