Frye would be a nice fit, IMO. If the Suns get Marion... (don't have time right now to read all the posts) they could sneak up on some of these Teams. I REALLY like Clark, as well.


If Dudley, Lopez, Dragic, and Amundson can continue improving; they could very well be a top 4-6 Team in West.

Frye was a hot commodity midway through his rookie season. Isiah Thomas, in his infinite wisdom, rejected several trade offers for him. Lopez will never be a hot commodity. With Frye, we know he's at least capable of being an effective player, because we've seen it before.

Apparently somebodys Sparky boxers are too tight and cutting off circulation to the brain as you have been all over the forum today with your inane posts.

Keep the theme here - MONEY being equal (and the team being somewhat relevent which is still the case) Phoenix has a lot more going for it then 90% of the other teams. The best 3-4 teams are ALWAYS going to have the advantage for players. Hell that was us the past 5 years as even if we didn't get every guy we were in on most of the vet/mid level guys that we could afford. The problem is this year we don't have much "flexibility" financially.

Just watch what happens next year if us (along with 15 or so other teams) have the cap room to get a good player. If you are going to be on the West Coast - after the Lakers - there isn't a bigger "marquee" team to play for then the Suns.

If we become a 30 win team for 5 years straight that changes. Otherwise we can still live off the reputation Jerry built as a place players want to come in addition to the weather, cost of living, proximity to other great cities, the city and the training staff and facilities.

Whats so hard about this to get? I can cite 5-6 writers who say the same thing and unlike you and me they actually talk to players. Its not like I am making this stuff up.

I just think the majority of the fans on this board are so bitter they can't see the forest through the trees. I get that Sarver and Kerr have taken most your wills to live but relax a little. From Hollinger, to Bucher, to Simmons, to Henry Abbott, to Aschburner (who I cited on that thread) all these guys still hold our franchise in relative high regard - especially when it comes to attractiveness to potential FA's.

Its not like this is Bickley or Gambo. What possibly would they have to gain from saying that? I have read that premise over and over since I became Suns fan in 1993. One year out of the playoffs doesn't all of a sudden change what took 50 or so years to build.

Marion would be a complete joke, Kerr would only admit failure in the public eye if he took him back. I'd rather have Odom anyway, but both won't sign with us even for the full MLE.

After teams that offer more media exposure or the chance to win a championship, the Suns are indeed a good destination. I think the problem is that Phoenix is a fun and leisurely destination. A great place to resurrect a career, or to live the high life without the scrutiny of LA. Those players aren't always the difference makers when it comes to a championship.

Thank goodness the Clippers are a nightmare organization. Otherwise Phoenix might automatically be the 3rd most attractive destination in the division.

I'd take Chandler right now. Effective players for cheap will always be good commodities in your portfolio. He's not a star, but he is effective and he is better than Lopez at this point.
