Why do I have this awful feeling that they are going to hit a three here to win it?

With 5.5 seconds left it would be nice to have Clark, Dudley, Hill, Barbs, and Lou in for this defensive stop.

Funny, with about 8 mins left in the 4th you could just see Nash flip the switch.

"ok this is crap and Amare turns it over everytime I give it to him so I'm just gonna do it myself."

15points in the 4th Quarter, not bad for an 'old guy'!

Nice win by the Suns, Amare needs to wake up quickly though, we cant have him settling for mid-range jumpers all season.

The Clippers should be embarrased for running plays trying to draw fouls instead of trying to just make a shot on their own, but then again, they are the Clippers.

The Clippers are so pathetic. Why can't you just try to win instead of trying to bait the refs TWICE? Seriously.

Losers.

Literally.

wow not a great win but the suns hanged on, amazing effort by nash at the end with all the shots he hit including the big 3 to tie it up :), and kudos for amare to staying home on gordon on that 3 attempt gj suns :).

Amare was bad at rebounding all night, but he didn't commit mistake on defense at the crucial moments at game end. Stopped Kaman in the paint, stayed to Butler who hit a magic 3, didn't buy the fake on Gordon's last 3. So, these are good signs that he could play adequate defense when he concentrate on it.

They knew that Amare had a bad reputation with refs, thus the attempts. :D

Im very impressed with the bench. Dragic, Dudley, Lou, Barbs and Clark add much needed depth to this team. At one point, they were beating the Clipper's starters.

Ummmm can Amare please at least try to take care of the ball? He is getting stripped almost every time.

I have to say, a couple of times Nash's passes weren't to the right timing, leaving Amare in awkward position in the paint before those stripps. As a general tendency, Nash's cutting passes to Amare have not been as effective as used to be, for awhile now.

Nash to the rescue again.

Amare looked like his feet were nailed to the floor tonight.
Kudos to the bench for bring some energy.

Great to get a win on the road.

I'm Not worried about Amare. He looked like he usually looks after an injury. He looked better as the game went on, and his shot was money.

He doesn't put in the effort to go after boards, that's for sure, but I thought tonight he was generally putting a body on people at least, and the Clippers should have killed us on the glass with Kaman and Camby but they didn't. Most of the offensive boards we gave up were when our bigs had to leave to help on one of their guards penetrating, which is always gonna be a problem for this team.

He seems to defer to teammates a lot on boards too. He could have had 9 tonight just by not deferring to Hill and Clark on free throws and stuff. Hill was really aggressive on the boards tonight. If we play with that positioning and aggressiveness every night on the glass it's not going to be as big a problem as most of us thought, but of course we won't.

Great 4th quarter effort from Nash to pull out this win. We managed to get a few defensive stops and hit big shots down the stretch. Nash with 24 points and 8 assists and I don't think he missed a shot in the 4th.

Amazingly, we actually out-rebounded the Clippers by 1 and had a 10-7 advantage on the offensive boards. Grant Hill with 19 points and 13 rebounds.

I thought Clark played very well in his 17 minutes, playing solid defense, grabbing 5 boards and a block shot. Dudley also played well.

Stoudemire gets a mixed review. I think he hit all of his mid-range jumpers and got to the free-throw line 10 times making 8 for a total of 16 points, yet I don't think he scored inside once in this game. The 6 turnovers were very costly too, but he played well defensively on a few plays down the stretch. But we need more from Amare, especially on the offensive end. A lot more. On defense, Camby and Kaman had a field day against Stoudemire and Frye, combining for 45 points.

Nash was vintage last night. Clutch as ever.

Dudley and Clark played well.

Amare was ok, but he gets stripped way too easily.

Earl Clark just oozes potential. Gentry put him in for a long time tonight and he responded. Still had questionable shot selection, but he was very active. In fact, all our bench guys played really well.

Grant Hill kept us in the game in the first half, we were getting rocked by that huge front line of the Clippers and Marcus Camby was hitting everything. Luckily for us they couldn't hit any free throws.

And Steve Nash and LB were clutch. Absolutely clutch. The Staples Center completely deflated when LB made his 3. Channing also played much, much better in the 2nd half.

As for Amare, their entire defensive scheme with him is automatic double team with the other big man. He was stifled the whole game but was pretty aggressive towards the end to get his free throws.

Nash is simply amazing. Worth every penny of his contract in that game.

A few thing caught my attention tonight and made me feel pretty damn good...

1. The Suns won despite no running game at all... I think they finished the game with 2 Fast break points

2. We match up pretty horribly with the clips, who one could argue is the biggest team in the league, and OUTREBOUNDED them for the game... If we keep that up we are going to win A LOT of ball games this year

3. And perhaps most importantly, I will say first, this could be one of those wierd stats, or it could be a sign of things to come, time will tell, but it is promising-- Dragic/Clark/Dudley had a point differential of +9, +11, and +12 respectively.... If our bench plays with a positive PD this year the suns will win 55 games..

All in all, a lot of mistakes, but we won a game that for all intents and purposes we should have lost... And that is something we can build on
