Our free throw shooting sucks. :( Even Dudley went 0/2 twice today (once with an airball).

Sigh. That's the ball game right there. :( Suns down 90-74 with 4:32 left in the 4th quarter.

Ugh. Frye posterized by Griffin and then a fastbreak alleyoop dunk by Griffin off a turnover.

At least Nash avoids going scoreless. :)

But he was pitching a shutout before the referees put him in position to make a technical FT for his 1 point.

Sometimes I think Nash's primary goal (besides winning) within a game is to get more assists than Rondo who is really collecting them.

Sigh. That was bad. Suns lose 103-86. :(

This team is not playing like a team in contention for a playoff spot. :(

They are playing like a borderline playoff team. Unfortunately, in order to make the playoffs, they need to play like a team that is good enough to make up for the 8 or so bad losses they suffered earlier in the season. And they are simply not good enough to do that. The recent losses are nothing to be ashamed of IMO, we've lost to better teams.

The Suns were a borderline playoff team last season and didn't make it.

Don't the Suns know that repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results... wait I think I've already covered that in another thread. I guess practicing at being bad can be a good experience. :D

Hey guys cheer up, at least we can now choose between whatever player falls out of favor in the draft and is available at #14 maybe Rivers or Jones. After the NCAA Tournament it looks like Kendall Marshall won't even be available at #14.

And then we can look at the SAME team next year getting us another #14 pick with a few new role players. Or a team of players waiting for retire if we go for Garnett and Allen good enough for a first round exit.

Indeed. When will this cycle of being a middle of the road team end?

I think the next step forward is for the Suns FO to acknowledge they are not locked-in to tying up big dollars on such players as Nash and Hill into the future... as a foundation. There should be no players that are untouchable. However, I do not see this happening.

It need not be a clean break but the Suns need to remain flexible and look elsewhere for their core. I think Nash would want more than a one year contract (which I think other than a team option for a second year) is a bad move. My feeling is Nash will want a minimum of a two year contract with a third year partially guaranteed something near his current salary. I see Babby giving him this as well as a nice chunk of change for Grant Hill. At least Grant Hill plays on one year contracts.

I guess the only hope is the Suns make a solid draft pick and sign at least one quality FA which sadly leaves the Suns in the middle of the road again, as you say.

Once again, the Suns outscored the Clippers in the 30 minutes that Nash was on the floor by 2 points while they were outscored by 15 in the 18 minutes he was on the bench. Telfair was -17. In fact, every single player except for Nash had a minus. Incredibly, the Suns make only 30 field goals and Nash ends up assisting on half of them. In fact, the Suns only had 4 unassisted field goals all game. Normally that would be a good thing, but not when you shoot 38% from the floor. It just shows that there is no one at all who can create his own shot on this team, not even once in a while.

I disagree. Telfair and Brown can create their own shots in vast numbers, and do so with only minimal provocation -- it's just that they miss most of them.
