Nice win. Who would of ever thought the Suns defense would be a big contributor in a victory?

Suns defense has been solid for 10+ games now. Vinsanity is a lost cause he is invisible nowadays.

On a flying cocoon
Hakim Warrick was both good on offense and on DEFENSE!
Robin Lopez aggressive on both ends of the court in the 3rd qtr
The Suns did well in the 4th qtr and not in the first
Our D completely shut down the Jazz in the 2nd half and was more physical then them

Nice win, I feel like I'm in bizzaro world

Very impressive win on so many levels. The Suns were supposed to have been the tired team but they dominated the second half, holding Utah to 27 second half points (six of which came late on two threes after game was put away). In a game where none of the jumpers were falling (40% overall for the game) the Suns relied on their defense to erase a 12 point halftime deficit and win by double digits on the road on the second night of a back-to-back. I am not sure even last year's Suns team could pull this off.

Offensively Frye and everyone else was off so the Suns took the ball inside, with Lopez, Gortat and Warrick combining for 42 points (Warrick did hit quite a few jumpers though, ironically about the only one who shot well from outside the paint). It was great to see the Suns go inside as opposed to hoping the threes will start falling.

Anyway we could get this from Warrick every night? Granted Frye's shot was off, so Warrick got some extra minutes, but he is very capable of having games like these, as we saw earlier in the season. He has also improved defensively and on the boards, something that has limited his minutes in the past.

Gortat and Nash with double-doubles each, again.

Carter with another lackluster game offensively, although he was active on defense, getting some deflections and steals. I don't know what motivates this guy anymore.

It's all about effort and focus when it comes to Warrick. I really believe that when he's secure in his role, he disappears for long stretches. I think he's just going to be a player for the rest of his career that has to be pushed again and again. It's too bad because he is awfully talented and even as undersized as he is he can be a near all-star level force when he's motivated. The rest of the time he's a coach killer though.

Wow... judging from first half highlight, one would think Suns is done for the night. Damn, that was a very nice come back. Usually new coach sparks some big wins.

I guess Warrick had a great team. That's good.

Great, great win. Arguably the best win of the season. In Utah, couldn't hit the three, Frye having a terrible game, an emotional opponent and crowd, back-to-back, down double-digits at halftime... and we win by double digits.

One of the most amazing games of the year.

Mikael Pietrus for MVP of this game. He shut down Deron Williams in the 2nd half.

And Gentry FINALLY realizes not to play Carter & Frye in the 4th QTR when their shootin like ****.

If we can trade for a natural PF & move Frye back to the bench, I think we can make a good run this season.

"They're not really a great defensive team," Jazz forward Paul Millsap said of the Suns. "You know, I think we beat ourselves. We ran out of gas."

The Suns may not be a great defensive team, but they have beaten Utah four in a row, and they played solid defense tonight. Hope the Suns players read that quote. They'll have to play Utah again in a few days, so they may need some additional motivation.

I feel weird cuz I like Utah, it was my favourite team when I was child ... and I wish them best.

But PHX won and that`s really great. Another great game by Gortat, Lopez look much better then one month ago, Warrick with shocking performance ... well. Nice time ;-)

A couple of things that caught my eye in the win that involve the Jazz. Obviously the loss of AK was huge the way he was playing. The second involved Millsap. He has developed a sweet outside shot taking him away from the basket. IMO, Millsap straying away from the basket really helped the Suns on the boards. He used to make his living underneath the basket.

And that was all because of Frye. He couldn't shoot worth a damn, but he kept Millsap away from the basket, and that helped a lot.

I like Frye but no way he can keep Millsap off the boards if he were so inclined. Millsap appears to have fallen in love with the outside shot which I'm sure he has worked hard to develop. This worked in the Suns favor.

Interesting. I agree he likes the outside shot, but I think discounting Frye's ability to force him into that shot is a mistake.
