This game was over 4 minutes into it. We put up a fight, but without Nash for 44 minutes, there's no way we'd beat a team like the Mavs, who are a top 5 team right now.

dudley needs more minutes. we all know he's not the best athlete, but his smarts and better than average D are a plus. maybe he can find his shot again with more minutes.

frye...he's got some length that we need. what we dont need from him is 10+ shots a game from 3pt land.

warrick needs more minutes if/when we can't hit our outside shots. he's not the best defensive player/forward on the team, but atleast he can get some in-the-paint buckets. at one time, he was drawing a lot of fouls inside.

clark, coach please dont play him again. the guy just started jacking up jumper after jumper. it was nice to see him attack the rim 2-3 times, but you got to finish as well. his shots were blocked and he choked when he had an open rim.

i was pretty upset that we didnt attack Berea when we had Hill and Turk in there at the same time. Berea would be switched on either one of them and we failed to attack him. RoLo needs time to get back into game shape.

maybe start with:

Nash
Jrich
Hill
Warrick
Lopez

then rotate in:
dragic
dudley
frye

dont know if we can ever fit Childress and Turk in the line up.

The Suns can't afford to leave any arrows in the quiver. If Frye is a good three-point shooter, then that weapon has to be part of the offense. And if he shoots them around 40%, the more the better.

for the love of God, Ray Borque Steve Nash's ass to a title contender already. Have some class Sarver... whether Nash consciously says he wants a trade or not, everyone here KNOWS this team is screwed for a long time and he would be over-joyed for another shot at the title and anyone who believes otherwise has completely erased from their minds the fact that Nash has cried the last two times he was eliminated from the WCF.

well the suns brass is in a tough spot because nash is their leader and the only reason to give fans hope right now. now that the trade took place with jrich and hedo I think it is clear that they plan on keeping nash. Since they are still in contention for a playoff spot I think they are hoping to rebuild on the fly rather than blow up their team completely.

Suns defense continues to decline but Mavericks are currently not doing great in that category either. Hopefully Suns can steal one tonight.

Go Suns!!
actually the mavs defense has been one of the best in the league so far. they are 9-1 on the road and they have defeated every elite team that they have faced it seems like(boston, SA, miami both times) and have ended a lot of winning streaks. Their only road loss was at N.O. in a game that was one possession and that was a home back to back with the hornets which was weird. They also ended utah's hot streak in a blowout win in salt lake a place that dallas seems to rarely win in recent years. I put more stock into those victories because those are the teams they will face come playoff time. in those games it has been their defense that was the difference. and I know nash was out of that game so everything goes out of the window, but the suns shooting was way below their average as well.

The mavs are an older team so I can only hope that their defense doesn't wear down as the playoffs start. that is going to be their reputation until they are able to make a deep run in the playoffs. but so far it looks good what they are doing defensively and offensively to the elite teams in the league. The mavs had a chance to sign gortat previously, but in a surprising move the magic blocked them and matched the restricted offer. Boy am I glad they did because I don't think we would have chandler now who is making more of an impact than I thought he would. this guy is the best big man dirk has ever played with and it isn't even close.

Yeah I remember that game too I think they had to come from behind double digits in the fourth in that game and they almost pulled even late...thankfully i didn't watch that one. but they recovered quick and started that long win streak afterward I believe. they lost to the bucks too. it's weird how the mavs always struggle with milwaukee, and play close games with chicago. but usually they beat the bulls.

Damn, this isn't NBA Live! Why do you think it's easy to make a trade in the NBA? What in the history of this franchise tells you it's easy to make an in-season trade? The last one we did that was substantial was JRich and Dudley for Boris and Raja. These things don't grow on trees.
Hahhahaa right after I posted that, the Suns trade away J-Rich.
