Ennis is looking like a player.
This game showed how we look without Dragic....yikes!
This game showed nothing, you are perfecting the art of being a troll. Overstating everything is starting to become your thing.
Ennis is looking like a player.
He really is. I think he has a solid future in the NBA, I thought he may be turn out to be Marshall 2.0 but he looks far better than that in the limited minutes he's gotten.
Ennis looked far quicker than I remember and he displayed some maturity. I couldn't help but wonder if he wasn't the best PG the Suns had on the court last night without Dragic. It was only one game but he looks like he can really be good when he develops.
I'm having trouble following the bouncing ball on this forum. In July he was a complete bust and not even worth a second round pick. It seems to be the consensus here that young players can only improve if they play in real games and yet, now, Ennis, without any game time, is starting to look like a real prospect?

I'm not sure if I was the one down on Ennis, only that he needed time to develop. He moved really well last night and looked like an NBA player out there, much better than I expected. I thought he even looked better than Warren considering his limited playing time.
Given that... we need to move one of these point guards to help this team move forward

The PGs I would most like to move are Bledsoe and IT. Unfortunately Bledsoe has this large 5 year contract. Ennis is on a reasonable rookie contract so I would like to see the Suns keep him. Also he looks to be more of a pure PG than the others.
There will be desperate small-market, crappy teams that won't mind Bledsoe's contract. Downside is that they aren't gonna give anything up for him. IT's contract is really good, so the Suns may be able to get something out of him.
I hate to say it, but moving Bledsoe's contract should be a priority especially if the Suns can get anything useable in return. That 5 year, 70 million dollar contract was a mistake as I look at the Suns today.
The Suns had Bledsoe pegged about right at 48/4. I don't know why they caved. Make your best assessment of the player's value, offer that contract, and stick to it. The Suns got played by Bledsoe and his agent.
Keep in mind though that with the new TV deal and increase to salary cap, Bledsoe's contract will get better as time goes by. Bledsoe is good enough that someone will take him. I just don't think anyone will really offer anything meaningful in return.
Then I'd much rather keep him. We're going nowhere, without him and probably with him. Find small fixes that up the value of our players and move them when they are at peak value, not when they return pennies on the dollar. I'd rather struggle through a bad season then give away one of our few plus players.

I think your philosophy is generally correct. It's kind of like stock, don't sell low. However, my concern, is the Suns are not going to give Dragic the type of money Bledsoe received so at some point the Suns are going to ask, which PG do they want to keep? I do not want to lose Dragic. If the Suns get a reasonable offer for Bledsoe, I think they should take it.

I think the Suns got locked into let's not lose an asset mentality.
I think it's even worse than that. What the Suns offer financially may not matter to Dragic. What they can offer him is a chance to lead the team. Until Bledsoe is not on the roster, that's not going to happen. Remember, Dragic already went from "Oh, I am opting out and signing a new deal with the Suns" to "Well, I am going to test free agency and see what's out there." Considering how much he loves Phoenix and the great relationship he has with Sarver, that's really telling.
You are correct. This is why Bledsoe needs to go. I do worry the Suns may not get a reasonable trade offer for Bledsoe so they trade Dragic. This would be a mistake. In any regard, IT needs to be traded.
