Hey Mojo, How about you and I play a game of 1 on 1, first one to 10 buckets wins.
Here are the rules. Based on your theory, I will give you the advantage. I will refuse to play defense - entirely. You, then, must refuse to play offense.
Who do you think is going to win our match?
Stop with the whole "Defense is always better than Offense", it isn't true. you have to score more points than the opponent to win - not 'stop more buckets'.
Hey, as long as you're willing to have fun with it(because there is no concrete proof for either argument) i pose this equally hypothetical and ridiculous scenario.......
Lets play 5 on 5 fullcourt to say...21 points....officiated.
I'm going to roll out a squad of three Dennis Rodmans(in his prime).
I chose Rodman because he's the polar opposite of say....Amare Stoudemire who is a fairly one-dimensional player, as is Rodman.
I'll give you a team of Stoudemires. Howabout '07 Stoudemire?
Both players are relatively the same size with Amare having the edge there.
DR could rebound with anybody and could guard 4 positions.DR had some average scoring abilities but generally wasn't asked to score.
'07 Amare still had some pretty impressive athletic ability,he could score inside in a variety of ways, and his 15-20 footer had been developed.
Amare has shown the ability to defend the basket and occasionally go to the glass but has generally failed in these categories in his career thus far.
