I don't remember it happening this often either, at least two series this close together ... but I haven't done my research either. The only thing I can think of is travel but this is probably more of an excuse than a reason.

I can remember a lot of same team B2B's through the years especially with the two LA teams.

Phoenix-Salt Lake flights are over an hour and a half. Not overwhelming, but more than 50% longer than PHX-LAX flights.

Not as long as the back-to-backs we're accustomed to. Does it really matter if they are against the same team?

Hey, why not put them on the same plane and save fuel? 50-50 unless one team wins both games, then the loser pays it all.

'Should be an interesting flight. :D

I think this is scheduled perfectly for the Suns. The first game when both teams have full energy will be in Utah, but the game in Phoenix will be the second game and likely the more important game to have home court advantage because of the added boost of energy the home team can get from the home crowd.

Well, I'm pretty sure I also remember B2B's with Utah, San Antonio, Portland, Golden State, Sacramento etc. I said "especially" and mentioned the LA teams because it seems we've played so many of them. Let's face it, some teams get more back to backs then others and we seem to always be near the top of that list (and the Lakers are usually near the bottom of that list). And it can be a particular disadvantage if you're playing the second half of that series at home. It negates some (perhaps much) of the home court advantage.

I remember a lot of them against the Supersonics... or maybe I'm confusing reality with NBA Live 95. Either way, these back to backs are not all that unusual, two of them this close together is a bit odd.

As noted by others it looks like Eric Bledsoe will play tonight. See Paul Coro article at azcentral dated 11-29-13 for more. See link below.

* Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe looks and sounds like a guy who is going to play tonight for the first time in two weeks.suns

Bledsoe went through all of Friday’s team shootaround at EnergySolutions Arena and will come off the bench if his bruised left shin still feels good enough to go during pregame warm-ups tonight.

“I’m just excited to be back on the court,” said Bledsoe, who has been a game-time decision for six consecutive missed games in which the Suns went 3-3. “It still hurts a little bit. It’s not going to be the same as when you get out there playing and work the kinks out. It’ll probably help me to just fight through it.”

Bledsoe has been limited to treadmill work and exercises so his playing time likely will be limited initially, although Bledsoe expects competitive juices to kick in.

“I want to get out there and help my team,” Bledsoe said. “I want to get out there and play but I just have to be on the safe side too.”

Doesn't sound like a guy who's upset about the way contract talks went.

He sounds like a player who wanted reassurance the injury was not serious. Now let's open the throttle all the way.

Teams are learning they cannot run away and hide from the Suns when they get a lead.

I'm sure Gordon Hayward will heat up but seriously, how much money does he want?

The Suns could use Plumlee inside. No one underneath the basket.

Bledsoe can get to the basket and also create fouls when cut off.
