Wouldn’t matter because KD won’t pass it to them. If he does then it’s a turnover.
I am thinking then it would be easier to move smaller pieces, or keep anything helpful, but we could then have the option of not extending Durant, and viola, under both aprons.

Exactly so why the hell would you want to sign a 150 million dollar contract with a 35 year old for that?

I'm against a trade that involves a Butler extension or includes any picks leaving our control. Ishbia needs to learn his luxury tax bill doesn't equal success. He can't buy his way out this.

PLEASE move durant so suns can get draft picks back. This is the only solution its 1000% obvious
You're assuming there's a big market for Durant. Any team trading for him has to extend him, and he may refuse. So right now, there may not be that many teams looking to get him.

Rockets for sure would and give suns at least a couple of their own picks back. Funny part is suns may end up better from it, no slight on durant, just not a good mix here

Man! The Cavs with 20 plus more shots taken than the Suns, so far. :|
This happens to us all the time in games. Turn overs and offensive rebounds are just killing us! Been that way for like 3 seasons now.

If there isn't a market to extend KD then the Suns shouldn't do so either. He went to school in Texas though so there's a good chance he'd be happy in Houston. He needs to go. If he doesn't want to report to the team then that's on him. I don't see him sitting out though.

I would hate this, but the ultimate blow up is KD AND Booker to Houston. Maybe throw in Detroit as a third team, and just make the biggest blockbuster trade the NBA has ever seen.

Houston would need to trade almost their whole rotation. It's one or the other and Booker is young enough we can retool around him.

I think that too. I realize that with Houston, so that's why I threw in Detroit. Plus Book may want to go home to Detroit if the thinking is KD would got home to Texas. There's a lot of sentiment in this forum to blow it upend start all over fresh.

I somewhat find it boring to note that the Cavaliers kicked the Suns' butt: of course they did, they're a much better team and the Suns are good enough to beat only mediocre and bad teams like the Hornets or Hawks.

What I will do is compliment the Cavaliers front office. The Cavaliers are actually the ideally designed NBA team. How? Look at their roster. They are the rare team that managed to avoid leaning on the crutch of superstars--they have none. No, they don't--with all due respect to Donovan Mitchell, he is no more a superstar than Devin Booker is. They're a great team with no superstars. If they reach the Finals, I will be proud to root for them.

My favorite champion in recent memory is easily the 2011 Mavericks, because their two stars beat the Heat's trio of one star (Bosh) and two superstars. Yes, also with all due respect to Kidd and Nowitzki, they weren't really superstars either. Kidd was old and Nowitzki was not someone every bandwagon fan would know the name of. And they did more than beat the Heat; they beat the system. I gleefully said "the system has been beaten" and "lebron james can go eat his own overpriced shoes." These Cavaliers would be like that. They would make the non-fans say "Who won the NBA championship this year??"

Booker makes sense for Houston, KD less so. He's older and Houston is still (at least) a year or two from really competing for the title. The team that makes the most sense for KD is actually OKC. Gets to 'go home' to a team that already has an identity and is in win-now mode that won't care about KD's age.

I would also pitch him to GS for Kuminga. He would be a nice young piece who is available.

In a KD trade with Houston the Suns would have to take back at least $41m.

They have some expiring in:
Adams: $12.6m
Green: $8m
Tate: $7m
Holiday: $4.6m

Another $10m between young player(s) plus two of our picks and you have to pull the trigger. It doesn’t need to be a huge haul.

Any KD trade, or Book, I've seen theorized involves VanVleet headed out.

I'm not going to talk about where Booker should be traded. We all feel fairly dismissive of Booker, because he deserves it, having revealed himself to be a non-leader who wilts under pressure. While you express your dismissiveness by proposing trades, I'll express mine simply by...insulting him.

If you have the bad luck to have seen my comments since I discovered this forum a few years ago, you'd know that it amuses me to childishly make fun of names. How would I do that for Devin Booker? Easy: Devin Booger. Groaning, are you? Too bad. He's been playing like something you dig out of your nose and flick aside. Besides that he's grossly overpaid (as is Bradley Beal), he makes other NBA stars look stupid for being eager to come to the Suns and play beside him. They seemingly don't understand what we have spent years observing.

I don't think they would bite on that. Even at the end of his career, Curry is saying GS shouldn't leverage their future.

I have been reading the rest of the league is starting to tell the Suns to quit calling. They are trying to work deals continuously. That said, it does seem less than ideal other teams are getting tired out from the Suns calling. On the fans side, it is good to hear they are trying.
