The Phoenix Suns can clinch their first Pacific Division title since 1994-95 as early as tonight. The Suns, who need any combination of two wins or two Kings losses to wrap up the division, host the Philadelphia 76ers at 8 p.m. (FSN AZ, ESPN), while the Kings play at Detroit.

Phoenix, however, will face Philly without its leading scorer, Amaré Stoudemire, who remains sidelined with inflammation of his right ankle. The 22-year-old forward/center missed his first game of the season on Monday when the Suns defeated the Denver Nuggets, 123-114.

While winning their division was a long-standing goal of the Suns, the team is now focused on finishing the regular season with the best record in the Western Conference, if not the entire NBA. Currently, the club (53-17) is a full game up on the San Antonio Spurs (52-18), who host the Sonics tonight, and percentage points ahead of the Miami Heat (54-18) for the top spot in the league’s standings.
