2 leading scorers in the first half are WJ and Beas. Encouraging signs thus far, hope they continue to improve as well.

Wesley Johnson had a nice first half. Beasley seemed to play good as well, however, I missed seeing him play. I'm expected more from Dragic but he got into foul problems.

I just noticed that Ike is on the roster. It's about time the Suns gave him a shot.

Why would they give their scapegoat an extension?

Yeah. I am thinking the same thing. I think it shows very little confidence in their own roster that they are so blatantly giving themselves someone to throw under the bus when it doesn't work.

My crackpot conspiracy theory is that Gentry is obviously going to take the fall and the team is already planning on naming Majerle head coach in an transparent marketing over competition move.

Oh that's just nonsense. Gentry will get his extension but first Sarver has his lawyers working on a way to get around that whole minimum wage thing.

What was encouraging about it was that he started out like 0-3, but continued to shoot the ball and attacking the basket and was able to get himself going.

The Suns cannot defend the interior without fouling.

Beasley sure looks good for a "ball hogger". He has 5 assists and is making all the smart decisions in finding who's open so far.

Suns point guards were awful tonight. Dragic a no-show in 15 min. Marshall and Garrett in their first NBA action so they get a pass. Telfair DNP.

Dragic had 9 points 4 assists in 15 minutes while dealing with foul trouble. He was on pace for about 18 points and 8 assists had he been in there for the whole game.

O'Neal should have retired years ago. He hasn't been remotely serviceable for a long time. He can barely move.

Can't believe I missed the game, start was at 3am here, set the alarm, but woke up at 6, LOL.
Just comparing the stats of two interesting, comparable players right now, Lin and Dragic.
Lin 3 points and 6 assists in 19 minutes, 9 points and 4 assists for Goran in 16, so that made me feel a bit better. Well it's a first game of pre-season, not enough playing minutes and we all know he didn't participate in scrimmages due to ankle injury, so... Have to be up for the second one tomorrow.

Those assists came early in the game when the feed wasn't working so I didn't get to see that. Needless to say, we are going to need Dragic to stay on the floor a little longer for this team to win games. The rest of the game the Suns essentially played without an NBA-level point guard and it showed.

and he had 2 points and 3 rebounds in the game prior...

Oh come on man, nobody is saying that Lopez is a star, but at the very least he is able to move and jump more than 3 inches off the ground. The point is that O'Neal is awful, not that Lopez is good.

If we are comparing O'Neal to Lopez, we also should compare their respective salaries and contract lengths.

Come on man. If this wasn't a preseason game he would have seen twice the minutes, but it's the first game of the preseason and you're not going to play your starters actual starter minutes.

I thought Marshall ran the team well for the most part but he didn't get much help from the shooters for more assists. He looked confident and was very unselfish. Once he gets his shooting down, he should develop into a good NBA PG. I know it's early, but I see him adapting well to the NBA game.

This.

My thought when posting the nudge at Lopez. For what it's worth, I think Lopez is just aweful. I will take O'Neal, his contract, and vet expirence everyday over Lopez, his contract, and his lack of a coherent thought.
