Tonight the Suns visit the Grizzles with a 6 p.m. Arizona start time.

From the ESPN Preview:

The last two times the Memphis Grizzlies faced the Phoenix Suns, Mike Conley experienced the most prolific scoring night of his career in one game and things became hostile at the end of another blowout in the other.

Both games easily went in favor of Memphis.

On Tuesday, the Grizzlies look to chalk up another win in the series when they host the Suns.

Memphis is 8-4 in its last 12 games and currently 1 1/2 games behind the fifth-place Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference. Two of those wins were against the Suns.

The Suns are hardly in a rhythm, especially in the last month. Since consecutive road wins over the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors Jan. 21-22, Phoenix is 3-12.

Phoenix is among the league's worst in points allowed (112.5), and in the last 15 games, the Suns are allowing 114.6 per game. Those defensive showings are negating an offense that scores a respectable 107 points per game. Half of Phoenix's defeats in the last five weeks are by single digits.

Len is playing aggressive tonight. If only he could only do this all the time. Perhaps it will come with time.

Booker goes down hard. Vince Carter gave Booker the elbow. He should be out of here.

The elbow to Booker looked deliberate. Justice previews. Carter is ejected.

Lens gives Bledsoe a perfect pass for a layup and he misses.

Alan goes against Randolph for a layup. Neither can jump. :)

Now Williams with another basket.

I think he is earning himself a permanent job.

Ulis did the Bledsoe type fake going up for the shot and gets the foul.

He has 6 points and 4 assists in the 2nd quarter.

The Suns bench is fun to watch.

Dudley just shouldn't be playing unless he's there solely for the tank.

They made it look easy.

It was a pretty thing. Ulis knew he couldn't put it up over the defender.

I have high hopes for Ulis. Now Jones and Williams look like keepers as well. Williams has particularly caught my eye.

I think you might be right about the latter but Dudley does provide some stability.

He knows the game and he tries to do the right thing, he's just not able to do it more often than not.

This is true. I actually think Dudley has slowed down if this is possible. He does play position defense though.

I noticed back in November that the somewhat chiseled Dudley that we signed in the offseason had been replaced by a much softer version. It happened the last time he played here too. He was special for us in the role we used him until he got his contract and almost immediately put on about 5 pounds. That's nothing to most players but to someone who just barely has NBA level physical skills, it's a killer, as it was then and it is now.

Correct. He has always had borderline NBA skills but he succeeded based on smarts and effort. Now, it's harder to get it done especially if he is not in top shape.

However, he gives hope for the average Joe who wants to play in the NBA. ;)

Gasol is 4-4 from 3 point range for 23 points. He is a big man who can play.

Not bad for a former second round draft pick.

He is not taking a back seat to his brother Pau.

Steve Albert is unbearable. I like Annie but really wish they'd replace Albert with anyone, I'd even be ok with Leander replacing him and I can't stand him.

Warren goes down but he was hit hard. It looked like the opponent hit him in the ribs with his arm to put him down.

Now called a common foul?

I'm not so sure based on where he was hit.

I really like TJ, he's been one of my favorite players since drafted, I hope he's ok. The mystery surrounding his head injury earlier in the year makes plays like what just happened really worrisome. If he misses the garbage time of the season again it'll set him back quite a bit. I think he could be our starting SF of the future provided he can stay healthy.

I'd take Leander and Ann Meyers Drysdale.

At least he is playing okay right now. Let's hope.
