Hornets 14-29 from 3 vs Suns 8-24 is a 18pt difference ...
Obviously that doesn't help, but it also doesn't help to give them even more opportunities at them by giving the offensive rebounds and then not offsetting that by getting our own offensive boards.

Booker had a good offensive game. 32 points, 11 assists, 0 turnovers and ended up with a zero +/- when he was on the court. The team was outscored by 20 points when he was on the bench. Just further demonstrates our need to get another guy that can score and facilitate off the dribble as our offense was non existent when Booker sat. Of course it would help if everyone would have shown up defensively.

Okobo talking to fellow Frenchmen Tony Parker and Nicolas Batum after the game.

I just got home in time to see the Suns lose by 20.

In terms of +/- . . .

Holmes and Acy were each +4 off the bench; Oubre, also off the bench was a +1; and Book was a zero.

Everyone else was a minus.

These wretched starts happen way too frequently. Kokoskov hardly ever has his team ready to play.

Just to raise the question, could it be that someone has gotten to Igor to leave things the way they are, keep everyone calm (calmness is Igor's only contribution) and, GULP, go for the
#1 pick again? Tank you very much!

The problem is that it has not been the formula for success for the Suns. Overall, our bench has had more success than our starters. And they feature career backups. Going forward . . .

Year 1 - FAIL (again)
Year 2 - FAIL (again)
Year 3 - FAIL (again)
Year 4 - HOPE (we don't lose our previously drafted young players who are tired of losing)

Whether it is the plan, or the outcome, it is clearly the opposite of pro-active.

It isn't pro(fessional) and it isn't active.

There is a joke about . . . pro is to progress as con is to congress. 'Sounds like the Suns.

So this is getting very frustrating.

On a positive, Oubre has become very productive driving to the basket in the last few games. I actually thought Jackson had a couple of really nice drives as well where he changed speeds - which is something he was not doing at all at the beginning of the year. Booker seemed to go hard to the basket more than usual in this game as well.

Ayton is starting to piss me off. I am really beginning to think there is something wrong with him mentally. He just does not show up some nights.
He is just getting constantly annihilated on pick and rolls. He is so bad at help I wish he would just stay with his man and box out - I know it would be more productive than what he is doing now.

The rebounding beat down is just inexcusable. We were not playing a big team. I just can't believe how many offensive rebounds this team gives up.

Warren is starting to piss me off too. 15 ft floaters are not good shots.

Sure but TJ makes up for it with his rebounding. As for Ayton, his physical stamina (and maybe mental stamina) seems to be an issue and it's worse now that he's likely up against the rookie wall.

sure, his mental & physical stamina is worse because he's up against the
rookie wall, rookie steel slats, rookie fence, etc.
anything but mentioning the (17 year) rookie coach he's up against

Huh looks like Ayton was a big p*ssy today.

Bismarck effin’ Biyombo.
Not to make excuses for him, but the team needs to get him more involved on offense. I feel like he tends to get disengaged when he isn't getting involved in the offense, but he needs to stay aggressive on the offensive glass as that will give him scoring opportunities as well.

Big Soft...sad part is we all kind of knew it when he was in college. Hopefully he grows and we get a coach he can thrive under. Cause Igor and his assistants are killing him

This team needs a passionate disciplinarian coach in the worst way.

This team needs what they have and that is a patient teacher. They are young and need time to improve and grow and having a dictator type head coach isn't going to help, but is likely to lose the locker room because of the non stop ass chewings this team would be getting.

This comment from Igor surprised me a bit with the Suns habit of getting down early.

The Suns should not be off guard at this stage in the season.

Disagree to some extent. Do they need a dictator, NO, but a little tough love from time to time absolutely YES. Over the past handful of games there have been several chances for Igor to show his players that he had their back on the “one sided officiating “ and he did nothing. It took Josh Jackson to get tossed out of pure frustration, and to say he thought he had to step up and say something was a direct shot at Igor and his silence.

I wish he'd be as creative with his planning as he is with defending the status quo.

How many ways can one find to defend the same ol' stuff?

It's not like the Suns were stunned by a hit in the mouth and overwhelmed by the Hornets good play as much as the Suns did not come ready to play and match their energy. The Suns were clearly flat to start the game.

15 years ago I went and saw the Suns play the Bobcats. The Suns ran over that mixed up new Charlotte team. Amare Nash Marion Q where stallions playing colts. Last night I saw the same thing except the Suns where the colts. Stop bashing Igor no one could win with this mess.
