Suns @ Hornets Game Thread 2-6-13

IMO, the green and blue Hornets uniforms are horrible. Are these new or did I just discover them?

I'm getting comfortable with Marshall being the backup PG but I'm surprised Telfair is not getting any playing time.

I hope we can find somewhere to trade Telfair, even if we get nothing of value in return. He has really turned himself around the last year and a half and deserves to get the chance to help out somewhere.

And there is PJ Tucker's feet losing track of the court again. I mentioned this in the game thread the other night. Its really weird how often he does that for being such a smart player.

I don't know if they are new, but they sure are comical. Green on the back, blue on the front and gold on the sides.

I saw a shot with one of their players facing the camera and another with his back to it. It looked like there were three teams on the court. To be fair, it is not their primary uniforms, however. In fact, the Suns are wearing their home whites in New Orleans tonight.

The Pelican'ts colors next season will be more traditional.

I agree. Also I think Garrett would be getting a few spare minutes but Hunter probably does not want to bypass Telfair to give him minutes. Let's hope Telfair finds a home because he does not appear to be part of the Suns future.

I mentioned it in multiple game threads back in November and December. He's not the only one on our team that does it often (Dudley also does it) but he's good for one every other game or so. I still love the guy though, give me a team of Tuckers and one superstar and I'd be happy.

I wonder if our goofy Front Office is holding on to Telfair for the rest of the season in case of injury or if they are trying to move him, particularly to a contender. He has earned our respect.

Hopefully they are trying to move him to a contender. But, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that they are trying to develop Marshall with the intention of trading him or perhaps even the possibility of trying to address our shooting guard spot by moving Dragic there once Kendall has progressed. IOW, who knows. Hopefully, whatever is planned is actually PLANNED. I'd hate to discover they're just wasting the guy on the bench because they don't know what else to do.

But with his contract being up and now being relegated to the 11th man off the bench, its doubtful that we will get anything for him and it sucks for him to be unable to prove himself going into free agency after improving so much the last year.

A thought, the Suns might want to include Telfair in a larger trade if one comes up. I minimally think Telfair will be traded for a second round pick before the trading deadline.

I do not have any problems with the Suns uniforms pictured above. They resemble their black uniforms. The old Knicks uniform caught my eye but the Raptors camo uniforms have to be the worst. I can't believe they were ever worn. I guess the Hornets uniforms are the second worst.

I do think that no sports uni's will ever be more outlandish than the Houston Astros once upon a time.

That Bleacher report article is terrible... or at least his taste is. Ive never heard many complaints about out 90s look, the current Jazz jersey is ugly? Anything with purple is ugly? The Nuggets uniforms are ugly?

My nominations for the worst of the worst would be:

The Grizz uniforms he mentioned
The Raptor uniforms with Raptor claw pinstripes
The Nuggets rainbow uniforms
The Rockets cartoon catastrophe.
Our home depot orange jerseys.
The Warrior ones before their recent overhaul.
Everything the Bobcats have ever worn.

Not a big surprise losing in New Orleans. For some reason, we're consistently one of the worst teams in the back half of a back-to-back. It made sense when we had old and gimpy players. I don't know why it still happens but I'll wager the smart bettors take advantage of this trend.

Our single best player is Dragic and he is fighting the flu. He fought through it last night but, in all fairness, it's gotta be tough in a back-to-back.

I don't understand why P.J. wasn't on the floor for the last six minutes of the game, just a token few near the end. Especially with Brown playing SF in his place.

Honestly, the best way to tank and still progress is to try to beat the good teams and lose to the bad teams. We don't have a front office and coaching staff that are that saavy do we?
