I completely disagree with you. Barbosa brings a skill set that is perfect for this team, and he is an excellent scorer. His overall game has improved drastically, and to trade him now would be puzzling at best, idiotic at worst.

He is talking about trading Jimmy once he Barbs is healthy....

under manned and down double figures with a quarter to go.. and to just come back and destroy Hornets shows resilience. But the suns are really hurting and Im glad they won.. props for Eddie House and Shawn Marion (5 blocks!! 15 rebounds 21 points.. Tim Duncan is that you?)

The suns will still struggle a bit the next 2 weeks, the main reason being that the suns cannot win that much games relying on a 6 man rotation... this isnt the team last year with all starting 5 can pretty much score 20 a piece.

I don't know what happened with jim jackson, he was so good last year and in the playoffs. You don't just stop being out to shoot the ball in the space of a few months. I don't know how we will be able to get anything for him in a trade.

We're tied with the Clips for 1st again. The Pacific division is getting crowded though because we're 14-8, GS is 14-9 and the Lakers have gone on a tear lately to get to 13-10. Even Sacramento has improved to 10-13. It could be a long battle all year for 1st.

Eddie was unbelieveable in the 4th qtr last night. He really didn't seem like he was hot for the 1st 3 qtrs and then BAM! It seemed like the whole team picked up their defensive intensity and just took Charlotte out of their game, caused some turnovers and we started hitting shots. KT had a great night offensively and did a good job on David West & PJ Brown (who was impressive), but I was surprised to see he only had 5 rebs. Shawn shot the ball well (took too many 3's, but was 7-9 fg from 2) and had a good defensive game.

Well, I don't think shooting % is Jim Jackson's biggest problem. He was 0/6 and only played 12 mins. Bell can go 0/7 and still play 30+ mins.

Do you think D'Antoni wants the "new" players to play more and since JJax is old anyway?

I think the problem we have is that JJax's role can be replaced by so many guys on the team: Barbosa, James Jones, and even Eddie House can replace JJax's scoring. Last year JJax was great in the playoffs because there was really no other bench that can play at that level. But I wouldn't trade him away right now. Some players just tend to do better in playoffs, like Robert Horry and Manu. lol

Lakers has been quite good lately!!! Darn it.

Bell can play 30 minutes going 0/7 because he's a great defensive player and he draws charges and he takes good shots almost all the time (open looks). Right now Jim Jackson isn't playing defense, he can't make a shot and he's turning the ball over. Most of Jim Jackson's shots looked forced with a defender in his face.

Doesn't it look like Jimmy has lost a step this year? Every time I see him trying to create space for himself it seems as if he just doesn't have quickness anymore to be able to do it.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I meant that when Barbosa gets healthy, Jimmy will be packing his bags. We need all the bodies that we can get right now, that's why we haven't moved him yet IMO.

Except for the fact that he's an expiring contract, JimJ's tade value has to be nearly nil right now.

Look for a player who's making between 2.2 and 3.2 mil, has several years left on his deal, has been pushed out of the rotation (or is unhappy and wanting to be moved), and his team is positioning to be a player in free agency next year.

Can't imagine there are many that fit that mold. It would probably be easier to use the TE and just let Jimmy finish his ride here.

Ah, sorry. In that case, I agree with you. Jimmy Jax just doesn't have it anymore. He's dropped off the face of the earth.

Thank heavens, I was going to look up the suicide prevention number for you. Perhaps you could have it on speed dial, you know, for game days.;)

Returning to original topic, really pleased to see them get the win. I saw the score at the end of the 3rd and went, blech ... They did seem to come out with more determination in the 4th. Great that it paid off. Eddie scoring the way he did was phenomenal, hoping that he has lost his, out of town yips.

I was a little upset :D watching the first half and posting that........then the 3rd quarter did not get any better, thank goodness House started hitting and gave them energy to also play better defense.

When you say you saw the score at the end of the 3rd, does that mean you did not watch the game?

If you did not watch the game I could see how you thought I was on suicide watch, but if you watched the game, you may have thought the way I did.

I still think they need a big man right now to help, but it looks like they are going to wait it out.
They may be able to get in a deal with another team sometime before the trade deadline and get the advantage with the TE like Utah did with us a couple years ago.

sunsfn, you are right, I did not watch the game. Just had a quick look at the score at the end of 3. Guests will cause you to do that sometimes. Then I watched the final q, later on, still have not watched the entire game.

Coro, in his write up today, gave props to Nash for his 4q play, 12 pts, 4 rb and 3 assists. Between Nash and House they had 28 of the 4 q points, not too shabby. It is good to see them playing well together. It is my impression that they do not play together that often, House comes in when Nash goes to the bench. With the injuries, they seem to be together more often at the end of games and that seems to bode well for the chemistry that is still being developed.

Thanks for the warning. Same situation for me this evening, I will have to watch the game at a later time. Hoping tonights game will be worthwhile enough to watch the entire game, not just the 4th q.
