Beal is a player who is rarely on the court.

Add in a big contract and no trade agreement.

At least Durant adds value regardless of how he got here.

If one is looking at net value, the answer is no. The Suns gave up more in the Durant trade than they received.

Value on the court, KD wins easily. But I thought we were talking about the two trades and in that case, KD's trade was far worse.
As of now. If we get decent assets that restock us in a KD trade? The Beal trade is far far worse in terms of overall ROI. Jury is still out on what we can get back for sure. I am nervous as hell about it but we need to do something.

Again, we don't make the Beal deal if not for the KD trade so I still blame it. But yeah, if we restock in a KD trade that will certainly lessen the blow. But I'd be surprised if we even managed to get Mikal Bridges level value for Durant so it won't soften the blow all that much.

We gave up unprotected picks and unless IT has buddied up with another wealthy owner I can't see us coming anywhere close to what we surrendered just in picks let alone replacing Mikal's value. Maybe we'll get a young player, a bad contract and 2 or 3 protected first round picks but I doubt we get more than that. I'll keep my fingers crossed for more but we'll see.

I am basing it more on what Golden sate was willing to give up which would be a decent return. There didn't seem to be many bidders against Golden State because Gambo said teams wanted to low ball the Suns and not give up their season runs. I am hoping the off season will bring in more bids but you never know. It could be a crappy return. We shall see.
