It was good to see the Suns finish a game well. Dragic took over to finish off the Magic. Frye also was a big part of the finish. It was nice seeing him take it down low. Also, great games from the Morrii, the Orlando announcers couldn't stop talking about them. Gerald Green is playing the best basketball of his career. Very solid game for him tonight. I keep hearing these Shannon Brown comparisons. Sure, they're both great athletes but Green is a much better basketball player.

Due his length and leaping ability Green is on a different level as a defender and - to a lesser extent - as a jumpshooter too than Shannon Brown.

Green does not dominate the ball of the half-court like Shannon Brown did. His shooting is also been better than Shannon Brown's. He has been a much more efficient player so far.

Eh, not sure about that. If you pass the ball to Green, you are NOT getting it back, and neither is anyone else. In all fairness, he doesn't dribble it as much as Brown does- he just chucks it up. If he'd learn to pass the ball, he'd actually make a pretty good NBA player.

Green is really winning me over. He doesn't pound the ball, he makes his play. He doesn't pass as often as I'd like but he doesn't dominate the shot clock either. Also, both he and Hornacek have made it clear. His job is to shoot the ball, not pass the ball. Granted, he still takes a shot or two each game that he shouldn't but he's by far our best outside shooter and it makes sense for Jeff to turn him loose with our current roster. Plus, he's working very hard on the defensive end and he has the length and athleticism to be a difference maker on both ends of the court.

If you want to feel better about Green, try this. Rate, using your own version of good decision/bad decision, and then record the quality of shot each time he and Tucker put one up. I'm pretty sure you'll find that PJ takes more ill-advised shots than Green does almost every game. And that's with far less volume on PJ's part.

I get what you are saying, but throwing up shots any time a player catches the ball is one of my pet peeves (other ones being no D, not blocking out, etc). I honestly don't think I will ever be OK with Green because of that. I love seeing great ball movement and team work. Once Green catches the ball, there is no more of either. Now, don't get me wrong- there is a place for a player like that on every team (assuming they shoot a decent percentage): instant offense off the bench.

I'm fine with him shooting when it's a product of the offense. That can occur off of one pass as easily as it would from a series of passes. I don't like it when anyone gets the ball ,dribbles a few times and then throws up a 15 foot, heavily guarded, fall away jumper . Green does this occasionally but so does Tucker. Marcus also does it but that's more consistent with his skills IMO and so it bothers me less. I have to depend on the coach knowing when to rein these guys in.

Green has already been benched by Hornacek for not taking a shot when he was open. He's doing as instructed.

Interesting. I watched the whole game and had no idea we only shot three free throws. Probably because I was watching the Magic broadcast.

The Suns became the first NBA team in 36 years to win a game with one free throw made, setting franchise lows Sunday night for free throws made and attempted (three) in a 104-96 victory over Orlando at Amway Center.
