This is a disturbing lack of effort for a close out game
Bingo. He missed 17 games and averaged just under 33 minutes per game. I think you're looking for an easy explanation here and I'm not sure there is one.
Welcome to my world. We may win this series but I know believe this team isn’t tough enough to win a title.
How many times do I have to say it isn’t about how many games he missed? He missed 17 games and averaged just under 33 minutes per game. I think you're looking for an easy explanation here and I'm not sure there is one.
Bench all the starters the rest of the game, put in the scrubs and send a message to your top players your effort sucks
Do it and forget the message. Rest them, if it motivates/embarrasses them too well that's just gravy.Bench all the starters the rest of the game, put in the scrubs and send a message to your top players your effort sucks
Ayton would have gotten the ball, dribbled and put up a soft floater from 2 feet that woulda bounced off the front rim anyway.Booker had Ayton in front of the basket and shoots a contested three. Just stupid basketball
Agreed.Do it and forget the message. Rest them, if it motivates/embarrasses them too well that's just gravy.
Yup. Last year’s team is nowhere to be found.
He’s allergic to the rim is the only explanation. Why doesn't Ayton just throw it down
Why does everyone think ish is a thug? He’s built like a football player bc he was one, but he’s never been a thug on the court.Ish needs to come light up some fools on the court
Been thinking the same thing. It almost seems like they feel like they "proved" themselves last year and with the "great" regular season... and this post-season is being treated like an annoying formality, as if they expected they were entitled to win it all.
He is afraid of getting fouled. He’s been like that his entire career. He’s allergic to the rim is the only explanation.
Who knows. 7ft plays like 6ftWhy doesn't Ayton just throw it down

No one showed up tonight. In a close out game.
4 years in and that switch hasn't flipped yet?!Don’t think, Ayton. Do.
So you're going to ignore minutes played and games played to hang onto your conclusion that we overworked him? I think you're wrong but heck, I have no perfect explanation for his struggles so who knows? How many times do I have to say it isn’t about how many games he missed?
