Despite all the negative comments here, looks like the Suns are going to pull out a gutsy win

Over the last 5 mins of regular game time and all thru out the OT, the Nets have tried really hard to hand us this game...

Williams taps it out of bounds. Will the referees call it.

I didn't think the suns were going to pull out the win tonight. Congratulations on a gutsy win.

Brandon Knight with 12 points, 7 assists and 0 turnovers. His shooting was off but he played solid.

I wondered why Len didn't start the overtime. It was an easy tip by Lopez.

I guess we'll find out why.

It was good to see the Suns prevail in OT against a team that has been very successful winning close games despite their losing record.

And I absolutely agree that Brandon Knight should be groomed as our Point Guard (at least on offense) right from the start. Our rebounders should look for him on every play.

BTW, I watched the Suns-Nets game from my rocker recliner. I didn't go to my computer until the game ended, which is why I don't usually post during the game.

Green and Thornton with a combined 20 mins while Goodwin plays well for 5 mins and doesn't get anymore time.

I just don't understand the fascination with Green and Thornton. I just don't.

The 0 turnovers part is key because it kinda makes up for Bledsoe being so careless with the ball (yet another 7 turnover game from him).

Thornton didn't look as bad tonight as Green normally does. He's on a fairly large expiring contract and younger than Green. He's also a much better ball handler. I'd rather see Goodwin and Warren used more but if the choice is Thornton or Green I'd take Thornton every time. I doubt either remains with the team past this season though and I think the team is just trying to give the impression they're still competing for a playoff spot.

Best player in the game tonight, but you're doing your best to make sure his comments about the fans are true, huh? :mulli:

Kieff puts up good offensive numbers but that's pretty much it. His complaining to the refs hasn't gotten old and he gets T'd up more than any player in the league. When he's out of the game completely, by fouling out, the last thing he needs to do is give them reason to T him up, giving free points away in a tight game.

Its disgraceful that he leads the league in techs.

Markieff also leads the league in flagrant fouls. Granted he only has 3 but that is the most, there are 9 players tied for 2nd place with 2 a piece and Len & Green are amongst them. It's more likely a big that gets hit with those since most of them occur when a guard drives to the hole and gets taken down. The size discrepancy works against players like Len in that regard.

Looking at the list of technical leaders though, Marcus is tied for 7th most with 8, Bledsoe is tied for 11th with 7, and Tucker is tied for 17th with 6. Those 4 players have more technicals than 16 teams in the league. I know it's a young team but that falls on Hornacek's shoulders, in my book. Dragic & Thomas being gone hasn't stopped Markieff from racking them up. I know people liked to blame Thomas for chemistry issues but those haven't really slowed down or stopped without him. I don't know if sitting players is the right way to handle it with how thin the frontcourt is, in addition to competing for a playoff spot but something needs to be done. Making a team wide policy also negatively effects the chemistry like when Dragic was sat during that stretch when Jeff was benching players for them and he was one of the few Suns who rarely gets technicals, so it's punishing players who weren't a part of the bigger problem.

I disagree. Educate the players and hopefully it will improve but "doing something" backfired the last time and likely will again. And if you look through the list of T's you'll see some pretty good players on that list. Yes Keef leads but not really. Westbrook has the same number of calls against him and he's played in 16 fewer games. Blake isn't too far down and he's missed a lot too.

It has the potential to cost us games but it really hasn't cost us much this far, something we can't say about the attempt to put a stop to them. Besides sitting key players when we needed them, Markieff was simply a lesser player when he focused on emotional restraint. Let them continue to grow up and hope that it will become less of an issue and if it doesn't, just factor that into their value.

Steve
