I believe he sabotaged Porter together with his best friend on the team, Raja Bell. He simply couldn't stand how Porter would take away his role. Geez. Grow up!

"It wasn't easy to play this year," Stoudemire said. "I worked on so many aspects [of my game] this last summer, until when I came back this year and Terry Porter wouldn't allow me to do it."

Yeah....Porter stopped Amare from rebounding and playing defense.

"My job now is to recover from this injury, improve in the offseason, and come back ready to take over next year."

Looks like Amare is looking to get his "Gorilla game on next year"...
