After the Suns late win over the Hawks they travel to Denver tonight to face the Nuggets.

The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Arizona time and will be televised on FSAZ.

Here is more from the ESPN Preview.

Phoenix (15-24) is looking to the future while Denver has eyes on the postseason, but both teams have something in common -- bright young players who have All-Star Game aspirations. Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is no longer a secret, earning praise from teams around the league for his court vision and playmaking ability. Malone has been campaigning hard for Jokic to be included on the Western Conference roster.

In four games since missing nine with a left adductor strain Booker is averaging 31 points.

His supporting cast isn't as strong as Jokic's, which is why Denver (19-17) has a chance for the postseason. January will be a big push for the Nuggets. After having only five home games in December, they will play 10 of 15 at Pepsi Center, where they are 12-4.

Because of mechanical issues and then pilot having logged too many hours Suns never left Phoenix last night. Just arrived in Denver about 30 minutes ago.

Jamal Murray and Gary Harris are doing the damage to the Suns with 5 and 11 points respectively.

End of 1st quarter.

Nuggets 34 - Suns 26

The story is Gary Harris going 9-10 from the field for 20 points.

Also Monroe will start at center tonight.
Monroe has to be one of the biggest enigmas in the league. The guy definitely has some legit big man skills but he rarely has a positive impact on the game.

Looks like Triano may have limited some players minutes last night-so he could use them more tonight.

Good move playing in Denver on back to back.

It could be because he is not a leaper and does not have much impact on the defensive end of the court.

True but earlier in his career he had more lift but the same issues.

Monroe has 8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists for a +7.

They always hear us. :)

I know!

How come nobody wants to send us a pick for this guy?

The Suns may want something better than a 2nd round pick and use his expiring contract for something better at the trade deadline.

The Suns lead 67-61 at halftime.

This was not expected because the Suns played last night and the Nuggets are coming off three days rest. However it may show on the Suns in the 2nd half.

I do not remember Mason Plumlee ever being this athletic. He even blocked one of Chriss' shots at the rim.

Ugh Josh Jackson is starting to play like he doesn't even want to be out there.

The Nuggets have lots of talent coming off the bench with Lyles and Barton.

I wonder if the Suns could get Mudiay on the cheap.

Just some observations:

Don't think Monroe is a fit. We need stronger D presence in the middle. Nuggets attacked at will.

They need to get Jackson to pass first rather than shoot from the outside. He's not even knocking his FT's down with consistency. Work on that first. There are much better options. I like when he's running the break, wreaking havoc on the D end and driving and dishing off.

Triano needs to get these young guys on board stoping teams rather then outscoring them. He seems to be making some progress with a few of them. Even Booker and Warren. Bender really needs to toughen up.

The Suns never have enough shooters on the court though.
