If the Suns change head coaches, Chauncey Billups is out of the equation as he reaches an extension with the Trail Blazers.

Getting healthy and Ayton probably helped. Along with TC.

The Rockets will likely want players on their timeline when considering a trade for Kevin Durant.

That’s why Booker should be the one moved to the Rockets. That could net us our picks back and get a really good young piece.

Then flip KD to Memphis for Bane, filler, picks a couple years from now when Gun-Boy totally flames out and KD’s old and get that awful puck swap back.

Let's get a new GM in here to make the decisions.

Without a doubt. I think there will be a lot of pissed posters if James Jones is holding court over another coach firing presser without his ass following Bud our the door.

Aside from all the moves James Jones got wrong, all he had to do was get the 2020 draft right and the Suns would still be right there.

Keeping Book would basically be J-Kidd as a Sun in the late 90’s. Pointless.

Get our picks back from Houston for Book. Get Jabari Smith and Tari Eason as young assets. KD to San Antonio for 2-3 mediocre picks and salary fillers. Gives us at least a chance at building something down the road.

I wouldn't bother with San Antonio. I don't recall the teams on the list of where KD wanted to play outside of Minnesota but salary filler and Jaden McDaniels and DiVenczo wouldn't be a bad start. Not sure if they have picks to deal.

Flip Donte for future picks elsewhere. We need to make a Dame like trade where whatever players we get back not on rookie deals can be moved for more picks like they did with Jrue and Brogdan.

They should be angling for Amon Thompson. He’s the SGA-esque piece who could be a breakout star that OKC got in the Paul George trade. Booker should fetch a similar price, plus our picks back. Jabari’s got name recognition because he was drafted high, but Thompson would be the real get out of that group.

Not sure why Memphis would choose to get 12 years older trading Bane who’s still on an upward trajectory and a team leader. KD and Ja on the same team…don’t see it.

This is why we should have taken that GS deal. That was a good package and probably the best we will get offered.

There was some talk Durant didn't want to be traded to the Warriors.

That was widely reported that he didn't want to go back to the Warriors. Having said that the Suns were in a weird spot.Taking the deal would have been a good thing for the team but at the same time if you want to attract Tier 1 talent to your franchise, that isn't the way to do it. It's a catch 22 IMO. If your labeled as "that team" that won't listen to Super Stars? You are not going to get any here. Not that I think you should be held hostage to one either. It's a balancing act great organizations have.

However, I doubt if the Warriors had done the trade if he didn't want to be there.

It seems unlikely the Suns walked away from the deal if they had their rather.

Gambo said it was the Suns who did because Durant didn't want to be there but it was likely a mutual thing. Even Kerr acknowledged in an interview KD didn't want to come and said he understood.

“I don't blame Kevin one bit for not wanting to rerun things here,” Kerr told ESPN. “He took so much s–t for like, 'Oh, you're jumping on the bandwagon' [when he signed with Golden State as a free agent in 2016]. And then he's Finals MVP two years in a row. It's like he still gets criticized.”

If Durant didn't want the trade, I don't think the Suns had a choice when it comes down to completing a trade.
