Per ESPN, Plumlee shot 5-13 from the field. One more make and he would have been at .500. I'm not seeing this as a problem. I didn't see Dragic ripping Plumlee although I could have missed it. If there was a riff it was probably because of a missed play.

Listening to the announcers, Hornacek has not been happy with Ish for the past couple of games.

I believe its 1st quarter. Dragic at the top of the key completely open calling for the ball and Plumlee way out of his shooting range proceeded to drive/dribble it in a packed lane and losing the ball. It was a silly drive by Plumlee and Dragic was in his ear till mid court.
One thing is for sure, Goran dont hold back when a teammate makes a dumb move.. i really like his veteran leadership

I don't think the math is right there. If he had one more basket then it would have been 6/13 or 6/14, depending on whether you meant if he took another shot and made it or if he made one of the shots he missed.

I messed up. Nevermind. :)

As for Ish, I actually remember a Hornacek joking around and having fun and laughing with Ish during the Pacers game but maybe things have gotten a little rough in their relationship during the Wizards and Cavs games.

I'm only repeating what I understood the announcers said on TV. They acted like there was an issue with Ish's play calling the past couple of games.
I don't have a problem with Ish.

Same here in regard to live game playcalling. I missed it.

Barbs was signed until the end of the year. Hallelujah! Why did the FO not do this earlier? Can't wait to see Barbs in the playoffs.

He needs to do that more often. He's the best player on this team. This is his team.

I would like him to hammer Plumlee, Frye, the twins and Len about consistently rebounding too.

Seems like almost all of the 76ers points are within 5 feet of the basket. I like Miles Plumlee, but this team desperately needs a rim protector/rebounder. Maybe someday Alex Len will be good enough/strong enough, but that's not going to happen this season if ever.

Agreed I have noticed this as well. I won't blame Plumlee for all of it though, Frye needs to help in that regard and everyone else ought to do a better job of cutting off dribble penetration...just staying in front of their man.

I have not seen the stats in the last month or so but I know early in the year Plumlee had one of the better defensive FG% in the paint in the league. Has that changed? I know our defense is giving up a lot more points but I think that has more to do with Bledsoe being out and I think recently our pace has increased.

It appears to me that Len intends to protect the rim. He's got the requistite size but he flails too much. It will come with practice.

Most of the dribble penetration is coming off screens and Jeff seems to have elected to have the guys protect against the pick & roll more than the dribble drive. There's always a trade-off of those two things but if you don't have any bigs that have perfected the art of 'stepping out', you're better off preventing the roll.

Yea but see that's the thing, from I have noticed, our pick and roll defense isn't that good either.

It just looks like opposing guards get in to the paint with ease vs us. Most of it has to do with Dragic not being a very good defender vs PGs and Green's lack of awareness but it's also lot of basics.

No doubt our defense will improve a ton when Bledsoe's back but even his absence we gotta do a better job. That's one of my favorite things about Goodwin, he rarely lets his man drive past him and plays tight also.

Defense on the perimeter really helps big men because they are not always having to cover for little guys who get away. The big difference is Bledsoe.

Took me a while to find it again but Plum's slipped a bit in this rating:http://stats.nba.com/playerTracking...rs=GP*GE*20**MIN*GE*15**FGA_DEFEND_RIM*GE*5.0

I limited that search to what players that play (>= 20 games played, >= 15 mpg) and who defend the rim (>= 5.0 attempts by opponents at them at the rim).

Plum is at 48.0%

Some other players for context:
Hibbert 41.2%
Serge Ibaka 43.7%
Robin Lopez 43.9%
Joakim Noah 44.1%
Anthony Davis 44.2%
Tim Duncan 46.8%
Dwight Howard 47.3%
Channing Frye 48.3%
Tyson Chandler 50.0%
Marcin Gortat 50.5%
Marc Gasol 50.7%
Greg Monroe 51.1%
Pau Gasol 52.1%
Markieff Morris 54.3%
Kevin Love 59.6%
Thaddeus Young 59.9%
