It has something to do with how the data gets entered. If you hit a 20' shot and it is entered as going into or being taken from the wrong side of the court it will show up as 94' minus the actual distance of the shot.

It was a pretty rough call. He made a highly contested layup and his hand went out as he was scoring. Griffin (my editorial opinion here) sold it hard, and the refs called an offensive foul.
