Nick Richards is with Phoenix Suns here in Detroit.Suns coach Mike Budenholzer said before Thursday's win at Wizards he expected Richards to play Saturday vs. Pistons.Team didn't practice today, but Budenholzer looked for Suns to start getting Richards up to speed today on offense/defense. #Suns

I think Plumlee will continue to start with Richards coming off the bench until the road trip is over. I'd like to see Richards sitting next to the coaches on the bench so they can coach him up before he enters the game.

Detroit has been a real surprise this year. I don't think they can keep it up but this will be tougher game than we've had recently in terms of competition. The Suns can't be lazy.

Not even close. Crowder and Monty had issues while JJ was fine letting Crowder sit at home since Monty didn't want him around. The Suns also turned down a few different trades which could have brought something back for Crowder. Nurkic is reportedly sick but nothing has come out from his camp, Budenholzer, or JJ to claim differently. Bud has even said he hopes Nurkic is able to join the team on this roadtrip if he gets healthy. These are 2 very different situations and shouldn't be conflated.

Crowder for Hachimura or Greyson Allen was on the table

Highly likely the Suns lose.

We suck against athleticism.

The Suns didn't trade Jae Crowder earlier because James Jones was saving this chip if he needed it for the Durant trade, or at least this is how I viewed it.

My hope is that the addition of Nick Richards will push the other Suns centers to play harder.
