Shaq Harrison, Isaiah Canaan, Marques Chriss and Tra Holder are at the Suns workouts.

Really glad Marquese is there and not at McDonalds like last summer. Canaan and Harrison being there tells me that Ulis is more than likely done in Phoenix. We got Knight coming back, Payton as a possibility, and 2 other PG's already working with the new head coach while he's on a non-guaranteed contract. Can't blame anyone but himself if his time is up with the Suns.

I wish Payton was working out for the Suns. He could be the answer at PG and allow the Suns to go BPA at #16.

Are impending free agents allowed to work out like this?

I do not have any direct knowledge but I do not see why not. Payton is still under contract with the Suns.

Holiday is an interesting option. Really good shooter, great defender, had a fantastic junior year and would be more polished than most coming out of the draft. I could see him being a really good fit next to Booker.

He should be a fantastic defender but he really wasn't at UCLA. He picked up fullcourt but he got beat off the dribble repeatedly his last 2 years. Seems like as his offense got better, his defense suffered He's a tough kid but he's very headstrong and stubborn, had some absolute meltdown games last year like Michigan and St Bonaventure where he had staggeringly bad end of game turnover runs as he just refused to pass the ball

Love the kid's heart but he has very little feel as a PG, he's a 2 in a 1's body.

Good to know. Sounds like you have more information than I do, so I appreciate the insight!

Just to be 100% clear, my comment was sincere. I've watched less than 10 games Holiday has played and in many of them I was focused on Lonzo Ball. Sometimes it's hard to acquiesce on a message board without seeming sarcastic, but that is what I was trying to do. :)

Oh I took it as sincere, i was just explaining my opinion on Aaron. We have a guy who posts on BRO(Bruin Report Online) who's connected to the Holiday family and has been posting there since before Jrue attended UCLA. when Aaron first got to UCLA he was my favorite player, he seemed to play so hard. But the more I watched the more I began to notice he's sort of the poster child for the John Wooden quote don't confuse activity with achievement. AAron got much better at UCLA but he's still a guy who takes a lot of wasted steps, drives to nowhere, and will get beaten on defense because he's trying too hard. If you saw the St Bonaventure play in gmae I think he had 9 turnovers, at the end of the game it was like every play he either got an offensive foul, turned it over, or made some insanely difficult driving shot. They were doubling him and funneling him to the help at the rim and he just never figured it out, he just kept running into the brick wall and being surprised it was still there.

Great kid but lacks feel.

Of the six players in today for Suns' workouts, only Jacob Evans in most mocks projects to be drafted. Early-to-mid 2nd rounder.

Having the 59th pick will mean we'll look at a lot of guys not on mocks. I wish most mocks listed 5-10 guys who may end up getting selected in the 2nd round. Not everyone they list now will be drafted. I'd be surprised if any mock picks the 60 players that will be drafted. Too many variables at the end of the 2nd round.

I think Divincenzo might be the big sleeper from this draft. I would like to see the Suns get him at 16, and then go PG at 31. I think he's moving up a lot of people's draft board and won't be there at 31.

I am also not sure why they haven't had him in for a look-see. Maybe they are still sold on Reed as the backup to Booker. But no way is Reed going to be as good as Donte is going to be.

We still have Daniels under contract this year. With his outside shooting I think he's a lock to be retained next year. Other than Booker he's the only guy who can make the opposing team pay for giving him space behind the 3pt line.

If I were the opposing team, I wouldn't leave Bender open either.
