Kendall Marshall is available, if the Suns want to kick the tires and see if he's learned to shoot yet. He could distribute the ball well from what I remember. He didn't have the foot speed to stay in front of anyone on defense and couldn't shoot to save his life from more than 12 feet from the basket though.

I saw Tyler Ennis signed a 2 year deal with the Lakers this offseason. He's one former Sun that I wouldn't mind getting another look at. I don't think they should have thrown him into the trade for Knight but the Suns thought they'd be set at the PG position with that acquisition. He hasn't done anything great in the NBA but he's looked like a competent backup when given minutes. Ulis looked the same last year as well but something happened with him, he's not the same player he was last year when given the opportunity to start.

I think I will pass on Marshall and Ennis. They do not have the speed and athleticism I'd like.

Former Suns PG Ish Smith is the type player I 'm looking for off the bench. That's why I jokingly mentioned Felder. I think he may eventually turn into the type PG that can really change tempo.

You are right. Ulis does not look the same as last season. He lacks confidence.

James' attitude cost him his job. They could have kept him a little longer but they cut him when they did for a reason. I don't fault them at all, it was the right move, but I miss McD's honesty in this situation. If James did something to make him mad he'd be bad mouthing him to the press right now in hopes it keeps him from signing elsewhere. I think his play style and attitude will keep him from signing elsewhere on their own.

League sources say Guangdong is making a hard push to convince ex-Suns guard Mike James to sign China. James, of course, has been searching for a new NBA home since the 27-year-old rookie parted ways with Phoenix last week.

I'm glad James got paid a regular NBA contract before he was waived. Wish him the best. Sometimes things do not work out. Hope he catches on somewhere else even if it is overseas.

James is signing a 2 way deal with the Pelicans. At this point in the season they don't need to worry about managing his time between the G-League and main roster. The Pelicans really don't need more small guards though, they need wing help.
