Thank goodness this is the Suns' last encounter with Scola this season. He's a complete punk and the officials are too gullible to see through it.

Agree. How the hell he gets away with such bush league play is beyond me.

Why the hell is Grant Hill in the game? He can't even dribble, he's lost the ball the last 3 possessions!

God Gentry is so awful!!!!!!!

Are you serious? I'm not sure if anyone told you, but Grant Hill had knee surgery 2 weeks ago. The fact that he's able to play at all is a testament to his desire to be on the court, and the fact that he's not playing great is perhaps the single largest reason he NEEDS to be in the game as much as possible from here on out. Grant Hill isn't some young player who needs to improve his skills before earning minutes (i.e. Markeif Morris). He's a player who needs to get his rhythm back so that he can re-establish the command over his body and use the skills he has in a playoff-intensity scenario.

Unless, of course, you don't think a healthy Grant Hill is an asset this team needs. If that's the case, then you're probably right: there's no reason to have a player play through the rust and timing issues that accompany mid-season injuries if that player can't be a significant contributor after he works through the rehab kinks. If that's your stance, then I disagree with you, but it would make your conclusion more logical.

I dunno, I just love Grant Hill and what he brings to this team. And I really don't like it when guys like Rudy Gay score in the mid-30's in must-win scenarios.

I hate Gentry so much. Seriously, our bench is playing well and we have a game tomorrow against the Spurs...don't you think its a good idea to keep the bench in to finish the game so the starters are rested for tomorrow against an elite team like San Antonio?

How the hell did Gentry EVER become a HC in the NBA? No wonder his record before he came to the Suns is piss poor.

+1

Hill played some great defense (the steal takeaway was fantastic) and he also hit a couple big shots. The guy is a warrior. Amazing how well he played just coming back from surgery.

While I do feel like he can help the team if he just focused only on defense instead of trying to help out offensively because well I simply don't think he's a good offensive player.

But to answer you question, others seem to think he's a bad fit for the team;

Solid win. This game would not have even been close at the end if it weren't for a couple really bad calls that gave the Rockets momentum.

Telfair looks more and more impressive. The Suns should consider keeping him around a bit longer if the price is right.

As for the Suns playoff hopes, the good news is that now they are just a game behind Houston and Denver. The bad news is that they were in the same place ten games ago. All three teams have gone 6-4 in the their last 10.

It is still not the same place. We managed to do the same 6-4 record against tougher competition than they did.

Good news is that the Rockets play the Nuggets in their next two games.

We need Houston sweep those two from Denver.
