lol! What was Jermaine O'Neal thinking there?!?!?!

For those who were not watching the game was tied with seconds remaining, Harden fires up a contested 3, it hits the rim and bounced waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up in the air, O'Neal jumping for the ball puts one hand through the net (goaltending) then slaps the ball off the rim when it came back down (also goaltending) even though the clock had expired and it was almost certainly going to miss.

A very bizarre ending.

Crazy way to lose has that ever happened before? I am not sure if that was the right call Oneal touched the net but it didn't look like that ball had any chance of going in. Is it a automatic basket if he touches the net? or does the ball have to look like its going in also? I think we made the thread at about the same time sorry

Yeah, you cant hit the net, thats goal tending, and hitting the ball while it was still over the rim is also goal tending. Does not matter if the ball looks to be going in or not.

You can't reach through the basket and touch the ball or the rim while the ball is above the basket. All clearly goal tending.

Clearly goal tending. He tipped the ball off the rim. A veteran play by O'Neal.

I'm not sure about the foul situation but O'Neal pushed off as well.

It's actually a savy veteran move by O'Neal. He knows that this team needs a higher draft pick more than a meaningless win against the Rockets right now.
