Get Lou for cheap. I bet he won't get many contract offers.

Stay away from the Birdman. If him and Beasley should strike a tone you don't want them to start smoking the good stuff together. Take Beasley under his wing... OK, sorry.

Landry and Fesenko seems like good options. Maybe Darrell Arthur, Andray Blatche. Speights if he's available...

Arthur and Speights were re-signed by Memphis. I liked Blatche in his draft, but I would want him now on this team. Landry and/or Lou are the kind of guys that you sign when you are trying to win as many games as possible. They need to pick up a relatively young center with upside... either somebody who they think just needs another good chance, somebody from Europe, or maybe an NBADL player.

It's a fine line this year. Win 30+ games and draft at number 10, or win 25 games and draf in the top 5. Maybe it's better to sign a center with upside who won't win us any games now, but might help us down the line. Go for a one trick pony. Someone who is athletic and young and does only one thing.

It's really hard to find those in the bargain bin. I would just as well sign Oden, but I don't think he is ready to sign with anyone yet. There's D-Leaguers like Vernon Macklin who put up big numbers there but didn't get off the bench in the NBA. Blatche is the most interesting prospect talent-wise, but he's got issues.
