I know we will win,I'd love to see defensive changes from last year and bench contributions.

shockingly enough, the spurs without ginobili scare me this time. i'm worried about how the suns will play the first time out. we will see though. a win would be an excellent way to start the season. we should get a good idea of how our team can play defense in this game.

I hope for defensive improvements. Can we put the clamps down on Parker and Duncan? How does Amare and Lopez work on Duncan? How does Diaw and Dragic work on Parker? Can Barnes play Parker on defense and kick his balls ala Bowen? Does team defense also limit open shots from the post or penetration kick outs? Lots of questions.

I know the offense is gonna sputter. Low percentages and I can only hope Barbosa or someone else gets hot from the outside. Sort of like when you're automatically in the zone when it's your first time back from a break, at least until your knees get warm, from there it's ring out all night long...

Another thing is the battle of the boards but that's tied in with the defense.

Gonna be great to see them play again!

Teams who have a key player injured often play better... at least in stretches.
I'm more worried about how the Suns play tonight. I really don't know what to expect because preseason games do not indicate much of anything.

In a van...down by the river.
I expect the SUNS to keep it close(thx to an improved defense) despite shooting alot of bricks with the Sterns pulling away in the 4th.

SUNS 85
SPURS 99

I'll be watching closely:
1) SUNS rotations on defense
2) Barbosa on defense
3) Shaq when a Spur drives the lane
4) Amare on defense
5) Spacing on offense
6) Nash taking play calls from coach Porter

this is gonna be the weirdest thing. watching nash look to the sidelines and then putting a hand in the air calling out a play. it almost seems foreign.

interested to see what dragic does. and can't wait to see how easily robin fouls out.

Lets go suns beat the spurts I have a feeling we will lose a close one but I hope Amare plays well on both sides of the court, and that we see somewhat the same production from Nash and also that Dragic will produce a little off the bench tonight. Granted this is the first game so everyone will be a little nervous and rusty but should be a fun one to watch GO SUNS

I'm finding it really hard to get up for this Suns season. I have zero enthusiam for this team. Hopefully they jump up and surprise me and end up being a lot better and more fun to watch than I think they are going to be. It's REALLY strange to feel better about the Cardinals playoff hopes than the Suns.

Adjusted per 48 minutes, who does everyone think will have more fouls, Shaq or Lopez? I think it could be a fight to the finish!

Its worked out so far but it seems odd to me to have Nash on Parker on Barnes on Bowen. Barnes is probably the most laterally quick guy the Suns have on the floor, Id switch that matchup and let Nash hide/rest on Bowen.

Barnes looks like Matt Barnes out there. Just what I expected.

Don't really like the offensive strategy so far. Too much shooting from smalls/wings.

Go Robin! Yea!
