Doncic looks really sound defensively, he seems to be with good his foot work and picking his moments to go for the ball.

I think Ayton was the clear cut #1 pick and I think he will probably win ROY, but IMO Doncic was the obvious #2. He's great with the ball, a solid shooter with potential to be a really good one, his vision is amazing for a guy his age and do not think he will be a liability on defense.

Kings are idiots. So is Atlanta.

I think a healthy Ayton puts up between 18-22 points per game and right around 10 rebounds this season, but the Doncic averages say... 13 points, 7 boards and 6 assists and the Mavs make the playoffs, he will probably get ROY.

I would have given up anything but Booker and Ayton to get Doncic, but I don't think we ever had a chance. I think the Hawks just reeeeeeally liked Young.

Dudley's 2 cents. He's been giving his take on the Suns quite a bit.

Dudley 1 point, 5 fouls, and an airballed free-throw in 36 minutes today. Yeah, keep sharing your expert opinion, Jared.

Maybe I am reading this wrong, but are you suggesting that because he isn't playing well that his opinion isn't worth anything?

Well... Sort of. And you're right, that's not fair. But the reality is that he's a journeyman role player who isn't anywhere near as important as he believes himself to be. Commenting on the personnel moves of another team is bad form, and if you're going to talk out of turn, you should be able to back it up. Dudley can't, so he looks like a clown, whether his opinion is valid or not.

Just seemed like a weird tweet to use to make this point. It would make more sense to me if he was saying something negative about another team or player, but he wasn't.

Right, but he has made some other anti-Suns tweets recently. That was just the most convenient one to reference.

I don't think he's been anti-Suns at all. The closest he's come to that is retweeting Markieff's comment about it being about time that McD was let go. I don't have an issue with that either. He said he didn't want a buy out after he was traded but I'm sure that has to do more with this being his last year more than him caring about the cash. His days are numbered and he knows that.

Booker with 19 in the 4th! By golly, we have a legit closer. He was playing PG at the end and that didn't slow him down in the slightest, if anything it helped ensure he had the ball in his hands, where it should be.

You’re talking like he badmouthed the suns. He was applauding the move.

Yeah, it looks like Crawford is useless. But I maintain it was still worth a shot, given how useless Harrison was (and how overmatched Canaan obviously is).

I maintain we would be so much better off if McD were fired in April.

I’m not blaming solely Crawford for our woes. Heck I didn’t say anything about blaming anyone.

But about him as an individual player no matter what team he would be on...he’s got nothing left to offer really. We are a bad defensive team and he only adds to that. The amount of minutes he’s playing and decisions he’s making just lead to bad possessions.

It might take some time for chemistry to develop though. There was a reason he was still unsigned.

If we just had to add Crawford we should have done it prior to the preseason. I can see missing training camp but doing so after preseason shows what sort of mistake it was, IMO. He's had no time to learn with our guys.

Well, even without knowing our offense he should be capable of hitting two or three shots for us when he does get in the game.

Crawford is a vet min player. His signing should mean very little actually. Cutting Shaq Harrison probably means more because we need his defense.

The bigger issue is the dumpster fire at our starting forward positions.

I know people don't like Bender. However in his three minutes he switched onto the ball handler every chance he got and not one guy scored on him. I also noticed none of his teammates would pass the ball to him on offense, LOL. He can set screens, plays defense, and can grab you 5 or 6 rebounds a game, and the occaisonal shot block here and there. I am thinking that's an upgrade at PF right there!

I think the Suns are just like the other Arizona teams. For some reason, they bring in too old, over the hill veterans to give them "experience". Doesn't seem to ever work out. They always (to me) insert perform, never live up to their expectations.

It does seem that way sometimes. As for the Suns, I do not think they draft well and they need to fill holes because of it.

I follow Dudley on Twitter since he was traded here in the Richardson trade and he has never made an anti-Suns tweet. Whenever his followers asked him which city was his favorite of the ones he played for, he always said Phoenix even after we traded him away the first time.

I think you have him confused for someone else.

Great call.
Best veteran signing since Grant Hill.
I’m not always right. But I’m always willing to admit when I’m wrong. Crawford has been a spectacular pickup both on and seemingly off the court. Couldn’t be happier with an unexpected return.
