Tucker most likely won't see the floor. I'm guessing he was brought in for his maturity, both in the locker room and practice. I hope they keep him for the year (unless he's a salary filler for a trade). No to O'neal, Darko, all these guys who have had attitude issues in the past. If they are going to bring in someone who's been in the league already then why not Orton. He's young and big and can't be any worse than those being mentioned. I'd prefer a young unproven either from someone's summer roster or overseas. Someone who can come in and give 8-10 min. of hard play. I know Lou played center some during his time here and he's still out there. He's a good guy, works hard and wouldn't be a problem in the locker room. Oden was done before he ever got started. NO.

Lou cannot play center and we have a glut of power forwards. True, Channing can play backup C, but he won't be exclusively in that position.

Hate to say it, but of all the options out there, Darko is probably the best of the bunch. Getting someone unproven (like Tucker) is nice, but what good will it do if they can't actually prove anything? Might be more logical to get a proven commodity in that role than someone who will barely sniff the floor to improve.

It's more than likely there's going to be minutes at the backup center position each night. The backups we already have are mostly undersized and out of position, so we definitely need a pure 5. We don't need scoring, we need a big body for interior defence and rebounding. Whether he's a mediocre veteran or a raw youngster, he's gotto be able to fill that role. If he's not proven he might not deserve the minutes and coach will have to go with the smaller alternative, so yeah, get us an old lump of sure thing with a low ceiling. As long as he can bang around and doesn't hang out on the perimeter smoking cigarettes.

I believe it more important to bring in someone with a great work ethic, someone who is an asset to the locker room. The Suns have done a good job of that this summer. Beasley may have had issues with hitting the pipe, but word is he is well liked and positive. Personally I think his "errors" have been over hyped. We'll see though. I have heard Darko is an ****** and I know O'neal is. I don't expect the Suns to accomplish much in the way of wins this year and whomever is signed won't add much, therefore I'd prefer nothing get in the way of their building chemistry off the court. Whoever is signed to fill the roll isn't going to be here next year and won't be a part of the future, so I think it wise to bring in someone positive that works hard and has something to prove. Only good thing about signing Darko is he would put us closer to the top pick. The guy is among the worst big men in the league. awful on offense, a disaster on defense, he displays the exact opposite of hustle and is supposed to be a real douche in the locker room.... he has good hands.

He is not an NBA caliber player.

If no one likes Darko, how about Kyrylo Fesenko or Joel Przybilla. They both have size and NBA experience. I liked Fesenko when he played for the Jazz.
