Suns @ Spurs game thread 11-5-17

On Sunday the Suns visit the Spurs with a 5 p.m. Arizona start time. The game is televised on FSAZ.

The Spurs opened the season with four wins before losing four games in a row. However, they beat Charlotte at home on Friday to push their record to 5-4.

San Antonio is still without star forward Kawhi Leonard and veteran point guard Tony Parker -- and will be for the foreseeable future.

Just got off phone with Jay Triano. Warren did some non-contact drills today, will be re-evaluated in morning. Triano encouraged, though

He didn't get kneed in the head. He ran into Kanter full speed his forehead hit Kanters chin. Kanter didn't move. He ran into Kanter not the other way around.

And this was the SECOND time in the game he went all out with the it hurts so bad thing.

There is a very good likelihood he is dealing with concussion issues. The more it happens the easier it is to get injured. So your tough guy expectations would be foolhardy on TJs (and the team’s) end.

This is definitely more than a headache. You don't spend time in a hospital and miss 2-3 weeks because of headaches. The team hasn't disclosed the exact nature of Warren's injury to the public so we're left just guessing.

I wonder if he played high school football or something that involved a lot more contact because it's odd that he's dealing with these issues at such a young age.

I doubt if Triano would be encouraged if Warren suffered a concussion but who knows.

Personally I would be on the side of being conservative without knowing the medical advice.
