Suns The Valley Jerseys

Apparently they are going with a black jersey with branding of The Valley for this year's city edition jersey

I kind of dig them and am a little surprised they had league resistance on The Valley as they thought it would be confusing with CA

They are better than a lot of the City jerseys from other teams... and they are 100x better than those awful purple on purple (with neither purple being Suns purple) uniforms.

We in Arizona refer to it as "The Valley", but the rest
of the country recognizes is as "The Valley of the Sun".

To the people in the West, "The Valley" refers to the
San Fernando Valley (as Osprey alluded to).

The Valley Boyz is clearly a rip-off of L.A.'s Valley Girls.

There was an interesting article from Zack Lowe on ESPN+ that discussed the origins of the jersey and some earlier designs. Apparently they considered doing “Valley of the Sun” but ultimately thought the designs were too wordy.

If they skip the "The" and put "of the Sun" in small print (as I suggested), it shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, it was interesting they had earlier designs, fonts, etc

I think if you have a city jersey, let it resonate with your city and your fans

I don't know what the consensus of putting boat house row on a jersey is or how much it is known outside of Philadelphia....... But I think it's cool they went for it

Have some fun, speak to your fans, get your players excited to wear it and push the branding you want to push

That's really not bad, especially compared to most of the other horrible buzzword/videogame tie-ins across the league, which are at an epic level of cringe.

The "The Valley" jersey is going to feel a bit weird if the Suns trade Kelly Oubre after he got the "Valley Boyz" theme going.
