There's maybe a little bit of semantics that could be argued but for the purposes of this argument, you're right, I don't consider him a star. I think he'd be a great 3rd banana, but I don't think 3rd banana's should get paid 10-12 per year (Chris Bosh notwithstanding).
Although, i just looked up some random 3rd best player salaries and maybe i should reconsider that belief.
