Ok, they can't possibly want to keep their pick with workouts like these. I think the suns brass is bored, and no high profile guy will workout until after the lottery, so this is their entertainment.

Donte smith has 7 tryouts, and I never heard of him!!!

LUke Jackson 4 tryouts, but teams have followed him close.

Jameer Nelson 9 times.

If the suns are trying these guys out, they must be strongly thinking of trading down, and/or getting a 2nd round pick.

Nelson is the only one with a chance to go in the top 10.

It will get exciting soon, the lotto draft, the tryouts etc.
Watch for the players the suns bring in twice!!

No, no, no. They are just covering all their bases. This really isn't an indication of anything.

We've discussed the possibility of the Suns trading down to get a pick to give the Bobcats that is less valuable than the #7.

In any case, I'm sure the Suns will work out a huge number of players on the off chance that they might be available in a trade. 2nd round picks don't get guaranteed contracts, so many of them get cut during training camp. Sometimes there is a sleeper available just because of the "numbers game".

Besides, they need something to do.

Donta Smith is the premiere Junior College talent - I watched another Luke Jackson game weeks ago and he does have some talent. Jameer Nelson is short, so I didn't watch many games - I read that Suns would workout David Harrison as well (good rebounder and shot-blocker).

Harrison sounds like an older version of Eddie Curry. He has huge attitude problems.

For what it's worth, I read a rumor somewhere that Orlando is thinking about trading their two high second-round picks. So if the Suns are toying with various McGrady proposals, they might be considering players in that draft range.
