Run the table. Don't look back.Suns remaining games are no joke:
Golden State
Memphis
Oklahoma City
Los Angeles (OK this one is likely a joke)
Clippers
Utah
Sacramento (assuming most guys are resting most of this game)
Their swagger is palpable. Their focus no longer drifts. Their commitment to basketball is a reflection of their total commitment to each other...This team has chosen to go far by going together. And we’ve never seen anything like them.
The only thing that could take the edge off is a championship. They are a team on a mission and that mission is a ways from completion.excellent Bickley article: https://arizonasports.com/story/3087869/bickley-suns-swagger-focus-and-hunger-never-been-seen-here/
i do agree that the Suns have been disrespected this season, but it's pretty much over now. i agree with all the positive press. indeed, i've "never seen anything like them." but i can't help wondering, will our clear favorite status now take the edge off our mojo?

Yeah last year really was a missed opportunity. IMO it was won by one of the weaker championship teams (right up there with the most recent Lakers title team). And it would have still been that way had we won it all. But injuries that hit so many teams throughout the season finally hit us at the worst possible time. This year there are several teams that are better than last year's winner. They still aren't the clear favorite, despite how a lot of us feel. You don't see them picked as the favorite by the talking heads on ESPN or TNT. Like Shaq's comments the other day about the Lakers knocking them out in the first round. That stuff will keep this team motivated.
In addition to that I think there is a lot of frustration for not getting the job done last year. This feels similar to when the Spurs lost to the Heatles in the Finals only for them to be on a mission all season to get back and correct that mistake. I can't see them having a hard time staying motivated as long as there is work to be done and hopefully the presence of the Bucks in the East will keep them pushing forward as well.

Oh man. That should be a slam dunk.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Just imagine if Magic had played until 36, or nowadays, 40. Those assist stats would be unreachable!! He may have retired at 36, but no way he played that long. I think he was holding out hope there would be a cure for HIV. He only played 12 true seasons.and they both happen to be 2 of my 3 favorite players. and the diet that i share with them is a bonus
Magic is the 3rd but he wasn't playing at 36. All 3 probably the most unselfish players to play the game.
(correction: i see that Magic did retire for the last time at 36)

Kevin Love and Iguodala don't make sense on that list. Love chucked a ball at his teammate during a game last year as he walked away in a huff while the ball was live.
Iggy sat out almost a full season because he didnt want to take part in the rebuild in Memphis despite Ja Morant leading them to being a playoff contender.
I get those things weren't this season but those are black marks on their past that shouldn't be so quickly forgotten.
Just curious Ish and IFFE cant play in the playoffs as it stands right now.
Do they get a ring when we win one?
